Bible Meditation:
Mark 10: 35-45

“Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” – Mark 10:43.

The Master’s Model of IMPACTFUL MINISTRY and Leadership is defined by Service and Servanthood: “But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them, “You know that those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” (Mark 10:42-43). True Greatness comes, not through power or position, but by selfless, sacrificial service: For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (v.45).

True Greatness is rooted in becoming a servant to others, not by seeking to be served or lording power over them. Service and Servanthood are interrelated, but distinct. Service is an action; while Servanthood is a mindset or identity. Service can be a specific task or act done for others, but servanthood is a mindset or way of life marked by a selfless commitment to others. It is a voluntary approach of putting others first and being willing to give one’s resources of time, treasures, and talent without expecting rewards. Service can be a duty or a way to fulfill God's Will, but servanthood is a deeper commitment of devotion.

Service can be for many reasons, including obligation, recognition, or a genuine desire to help; servanthood is motivated by a selfless focus on the needs of others, not personal reward. Service can be a one-time or occasional act; but servanthood is a continuous commitment to serve whenever and wherever needed. We can often control when, where, and how we serve, but servanthood implies a willingness to be directed by others and to give up control of our convenience, schedule, or desires. Christ’s Attitude of Servanthood is the Secret of Kingdom Greatness. Here are Five Key Principles of Impactful Ministry:

Greatness is found in Humility: The disciples asked for positions of power, but the Lord redefined greatness (vv.37-42). He states that those who want to be first must be last, and the greatest is the servant of all (vv.43-44)

Sacrifice is essential: True Service and Servanthood involve sacrifice. Jesus, as a Servant gave His life as a ransom for many; hence, His disciples must be willing to serve sacrificially (vv.38-39).

Seek to Serve, not to be served: Leadership is not a position of privilege but an opportunity to serve others (v.45).

Serve God by serving Humanity: We can serve the Lord by serving the people around us, putting their needs ahead of our own through acts of love, kindness, and sacrifice.

Service is Active: It extends to giving of our time, talent, and treasures to meet the needs of the brethren and society.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
