John 16: 23-28

“...Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the father in My Name He will give you” – John 16:23

There are strong scriptural foundations for PRAYERFUL PARENTING for Flourishing Family: “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the father in My Name He will give you” (Jh.16:23). Praying in the name of Jesus is a major key to God’s Power and authority over the enemy, and proof of faith in God to do what His Word promises. God knows our thoughts and needs, but He responds to our prayers. That’s because He always gives us a choice about everything, including whether we will trust Him and obey by praying in His Name. Praying not only affects us; it reaches out and touches those for whom we pray. Parents who possess the “Father’s Heart” cannot but be praying parents!

When we pray for our children, we are asking God to make His Presence a part of their lives and work powerfully for them: “Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches; pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him for the life of your young children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street” (Lam.2:19). We can partner with God through consistent prayer for our children's protection, spiritual growth, character, relationships, talents, and future. We can model faith, involve our children in prayer, and address the challenges of rebellion through prayer.

Parenting is the best of jobs, yet the most difficult. It can bring one the greatest joy or cause the greatest pain. There is nothing as fulfilling and exhilarating; yet, nothing so depleting and exhausting. No area of life can make one feel more like a success when everything is going well; or make one feel more like a failure when things go wrong! In Christ, however, we don’t have to be tossed and turned by winds of change. Our children’s lives don’t ever have to be left to chance. We don’t have to dread the torturous teens or live in fear of what each new phase of development may bring. Nor do we have to be perfect parents.

We can start right now making a positive difference in our child’s future – through prayers. In these perilous times, parents cannot afford to delay until children matters become urgent issues, to cover all phases of their lives in prayer. Being able to positively affect children in prayer will keep parents in close contact with them and actively involved in their lives, even after they leave home. Prayerful Parents we will never stop praying for their children, no matter what age they are or where they live. Beloved, let’s commit to engage in Prayerful Parenting for Flourishing Families and eternally Impactful Homes!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
