THE GOD OF GENERATIONS

And Nahor lived after he begat Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters – Genesis 11:25

GOD HAS THE FINAL SAY

Therefore is the NAME of it called BABEL; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth – Genesis 11:9

FROM BABEL TO PENTECOST

Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech – Genesis 11:7

“God comes down into human life. Though the world is corrupt and full of violence; though His arch-enemy has taught man to dread and hate Him; though attempts are on foot to resist Him in open rebellion, by making a unity apart from Him, and in exclusion of His cornerstone, yet He comes down.

BUILDING FOR TIME OR FOR ETERNITY?

They said, “Come let us BUILD FOR OURSELVES a CITY, and a TOWER whose top will reach into heaven, and let us MAKE FOR OURSELVES a NAME, otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth – Genesis 11:4 (NASB).

TREASURES IN A HEAP OF NAMES

By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their LANDS; every one after his TONGUE, after their FAMILIES, in their NATIONS – Genesis 10: 5

“Few realize the treasures that lie in this heap of names. This chapter is the key to ancient histories and contains many of the names that lie on our modern maps. What teeming myriads are here! We learn three things.

HISTORY IS HIS STORY

Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood – Genesis 10: 1

CHOICES, CONDUCT, CONSEQUENCES

And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent – Genesis 9: 20-21

LOOK OUT FOR THE BOW

I do set my BOW in the CLOUD, and it shall be for a TOKEN of a COVENANT between Me and the earth – Genesis 9:13

BLESSINGS AND PROHIBITIONS

And GOD BLESSED NOAH and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth – Genesis 9:1

The fall of Man did not change the nature of God: He remains the BLESSER! The first blessing is here renewed, and repeated in Genesis 9:7, for humanity was, more-or-less, beginning anew! The blessing bestowed upon Noah, matches that given to Adam – to be fruitful, to multiply, to fill the world with human life, and to exercise dominion over the animal world (Gen. 1:28-29; 2:16-17). There were however a significant omission and two additions.

UNCEASING SEASONS

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease – Genesis 8:22

Noah had spent over a full year in the ark, preserved not only for a NEW LIFE, but for a NEW WORLD. He didn’t complain of long confinement; rather, he gave a good account of his stewardship. Of all that were given to him he lost none, but was faithful as a steward. Noah was FAITHFUL, but also THANKFUL.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
