TEARS TO CHEERS

They who SOW in TEARS shall REAP IN JOY – Psalm 126:5 (NKJV)

THE JOURNEY OF JOY

Our mouths were filled with LAUGHTER, our tongues with SONGS of JOY. Then it was said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them – Psalm 126:2 (NIV)

OVERFLOWING JOY

Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord – Ephesians 5:19

RADIANCE OF JOY

They looked to Him and were RADIANT, and their FACES were not ashamed – Psalm 34:5

Psalm 34 exudes the spirit of exuberant confidence and unflinching faith in God. Hear the Psalmist in the first verse: “I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” To David, praising God was not an option but a compulsion. He “willed” to “bless the Lord AT ALL TIMES…CONTINUALLY…”! He described the LORD as the One who “delivered me from all my fears” (v.4). His heart was filled with the reality of His God.

SURPRISED BY JOY

You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me FULL OF JOY in Your presence – Acts 2:28 (NKJV)

ENDURING AND ABOUNDING JOY

Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will REJOICE, and your JOY no one will take from you – John 16:22b

Mentioning the word “joy” often brings to mind the positive feeling associated with some kind of good fortune, such as an unexpected blessing or promotion. Unfortunately, as exciting as this is, there isn’t much of it in most people’s lives. However, the Father’s Will is that Joy be our constant companion.

CHRIST: THE PURPOSE OF JOY

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always PRAY WITH JOY – Philippians 1:3-4

God wants all of His children to experience true joy in our lives. It bears repeating that JOY does not equate HAPPINESS. Happiness is an emotional response to good happening in our lives. Joy flows from an underlying understanding of the eternal truths of God in spite of whatever may be going on – positive or negative. This is most exemplified in the letter of Paul to the Christians in Philippi.

JOY – THE MISSING LINK

And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for a man's life does not consist in the abundance of the things which he possesses” – Luke 12:15 (NKJV)

HUNGER FOR HAPPINESS

Blessed are they which do HUNGER and thirst after RIGHTEOUSNESS: for they shall be filled – Matthew 5:6

COUNTERFEIT HAPPINESS

Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun – Ecclesiastes 2:11

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
