Genesis 50: 15-25

“…but GOD WILL SURELY VISIT YOU, and bring you out of this land to the land of which He swore to Abraham… – Genesis 50:24b

The PROMISES of DIVINE VISITATION are anchored in God’s Covenant Character: And Joseph said to his brethren, “I am dying; but GOD WILL SURELY VISIT YOU, and bring you out of this land to the land of which He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.” Then Joseph took an oath from the children of Israel, saying, “God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones from here (Gen.50: 24-25). After Jacob died, Joseph’s brothers dreaded retaliation. But Joseph reassured them, declaring that what they meant for evil, God meant for good. At life’s end, Joseph looked beyond the coffin in Egypt and prophesied a future visitation from God. Here are Five Key Insights:

Divine Visitation is promised, not presumed (v. 24a). Though he was dying in a foreign land, Joseph was certain of God’s Visitation. God will surely visit, attend to, intervene, and come to the aid of His people. Divine Visitation is covenant-linked, not tied to present circumstances.

Visitation Is connected to Divine Purpose (v. 24b). God’s Visit would take them out of Egypt to the land He promised. Visitation isn’t random. God visited to fulfill His promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. His visitation had an agenda: deliverance, alignment, and inheritance.

Visitation demands present Faith for future Action (v.25). Joseph made them swear to carry his bones up. He died believing in a visitation he would not see. But by faith, he planned his burial around a future move of God. True Faith prepares for God’s Visit before it happens.

Visitation outlives human leaders. Joseph, the prime minister, was dying. But God’s Plan was thriving. Pharaohs change, leaders transition, yet divine visitation is sure. Our hope must not be put in man, but God.

Visitation turns fear into forgiveness (vv.15-21). Contrary to his brothers’ fear, Joseph’s assurance of God’s future visit freed him to forgive! Knowing that God will visit and vindicate, we can release offenses.

Egypt was comfortable for Joseph, but his heart was in Canaan. We are in the world, not of it. Divine Visitation is coming. Let’s speak and prophesy; our words set the atmosphere for God’s Move. Let’s live by the covenant, and not allow conditions or current success make us forget the promise. Let’s prepare for it, leaving legacies for the next generation based on what we believe God will do. Let’s forgive ahead of the visit. God will surely come to our aid! Let’s discern the seasons. Visitation may delay, but it won’t be denied. Stay faithful in the waiting.

In Jesus’ name, I affirm that:

I am remembered by God. He is surely coming to my aid. My name is in His calendar of visitation for deliverance, elevation, and inheritance.

My present location is not my final destination. Past mistakes will not prevent future visitation. I shall not be trapped in the struggles of Egypt.

God’s Visitation terminates every generational delay in my lineage. The bones of my dreams, visions and legacy will not be buried in bondage.

God’s covenant with the fathers speaks for me in this season. Assured of His Visitation, I release every offense and walk in forgiveness.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
