1 Samuel 2: 18-26

“And the LORD VISITED HANNAH, so that she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters…” – 1 Samuel 2:21a

Divine Visitation turns BARRENNESS to BUNDLES of JOY: “And the LORD VISITED HANNAH, so that she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile the child Samuel grew before the Lord” (1Sam.2:21). Divine Visitation occurs when God steps into human affairs to turn situations from negative to positive, bringing heaven’s blessing to earth. It is not merely a passing visit; it is God’s intervention to terminate stagnation, break barrenness, and trigger a lifetime of testimony. Here, we see a contrast between a household under judgment and a woman, who, through her dedication and surrender to God, provoked a visitation that transformed her sorrow into a multi-fold blessing.

The story of Samuel, the son that Hannah had received from and consecrated to the Lord, shows how Consecrated Service provokes Divine Visitation (vv.18-19): Despite the pervading corruption, Samuel continued to minister to the Lord. When we maintain our integrity and service to God, even in adverse situations, we attract His attention. On her part, patiently and consistently, Hannah brought a robe every year until the Lord visited her. We must not stop serving God due to a delayed breakthrough. Sacrifice releases Divine Visitation. God honoured the extreme sacrifice of surrendering her only son to the Lord. When we give to Him what we love most, He replaces it with a higher capacity for blessing (vv.20-21). Visitation breaks barrenness and reproach: Hannah, once barren, was visited and bore five more children (v.21a).

Divine Visitation brings not just material gain, but spiritual maturity and favour before God and man. Samuel experienced steady growth in God’s Presence (v.21b). Verse 26 also says: "And the child Samuel grew in stature, and in favor both with the Lord and men.” But here were shown a Contrast of Stewardship: While Eli’s sons – Hophni and Phinehas – misused their position, Samuel grew in righteousness. Our continued dedication, and that of our children’s, brings Divine Favor; while ignoring God leads to a decline in grace and power (vv.22-25). It pays to invest in His work, to dedicate our time, talent, and resources to the things of God. The “little robe” Hannah brought was a symbol of her faithfulness, which was rewarded. Let’s focus on spiritual growth, ensuring our character grows even as our opportunities grow.

In Jesus’ Name, I declare that:

By the authority of heaven, the Lord is visiting my home this season, with multiple-fold manifestations of blessings over my life.

By the Power of God, every secret, hidden, or forgotten promise is brought to manifestation and performance now.

Every long-standing barrenness in and around my life, whether physical, spiritual, or financial, is terminated.

All agents of destruction assigned against my children, like the sons of Eli, are paralysed and rendered ineffective.

The season of mockers questioning my faith is over; testimonies will fill my mouth, and bundles of Joy will fill my tabernacle.

Divine Favour surrounds me, causing me to gain Favour with both God and men. The Lord is turning my "little" investment into great harvests.

The God of Hannah is settling me and filling my life with eternal joy. I shall grow in stature, wisdom, and divine favour.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
