“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” – 2 Timothy 3:16

Thorough Equipping for Effective Ministry is a primary product of IMPACT by the BOOK: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2Tim.3:16-17). Today’s devotional passage highlights the Bible's divine origin and profound impact on Believers. It emphasizes the Sufficiency of God’s Word; and that scriptures are "God-breathed," useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, ultimately equipping individuals for every good work.

Paul affirmed with elegant finality that “All Scripture is God-breathed” – divinely inspired. All scripture is breathed into by God! When I speak, my word is “I-breathed” – my breath, conditioned by my mind, pours forth in speech. I breathe out my words. As Peter declared, “No prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit” (2Pet. 2:20-21). All the didactic, poetic, narrative, apocalyptic, proverbial, and epical sections together are to make up the tapestry of teaching. The Bible is not just a collection of stories or historical accounts from men and by men, but a living source of truth that equips Believers for every aspect of life and ministry.

This Book of Sixty-six books originates from God. The Word of God is profitable. There’s nothing more profitable in the world than His Word. The scriptures prepare us Believers to serve God effectively and fulfill our lives’ purposes. They expose error and wrongdoing, helping us identify areas where we need to change. The Word offers guidance on how to right wrong conduct and attitudes, restoring individuals to the right path. The Bible is a powerful tool for spiritual growth, personal transformation, and effective service to God. This Living Book is profitable for teaching. It teaches us Who God is; His Nature, Character, and attributes. It teaches us who we are; what God is doing in the world; and how to understand what is happening in our lives.

The Bible provides foundational truths about God, His Will, and the path to salvation. In terms of rebuking, it exposes sin and error, guiding believers away from harmful paths. It also offers correction, guidance and direction for making right choices and living in accordance with God's Will. The Bible trains in righteousness, shaping character and cultivating a life of obedience to God's commands. The ultimate goal is to produce mature believers who are fully prepared for God's service. Finally, scriptures equip us for every good work. In summary, God’s Word reproves, corrects, equips, and trains us in righteousness.
