Bible Meditation:
Joshua 1: 1-9

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night – Joshua 1:8a

Joshua was mentored by the Lord Himself and instructed on how to make God-glorifying IMPACT by the BOOK: “THIS BOOK of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (Jos.1:8). This scripture emphasizes the essence of continuous engagement with God's Word for personal growth, prosperity and good success. It instructs Believers to keep the Book of the Law (Scripture) on their lips, meditate on it day and night, and carefully obey all that’s in it. This is a pathway to aligning our life with God’s principles and experiencing lives of purpose and fulfillment.

Joshua 1:8 is part of God's charge to Joshua as he assumed leadership of the Israelites. In this pivotal moment, God provided Joshua with a formula for success: adherence to His Word. Having succeeded Moses as the leader of the Israelites, Joshua was tasked with the monumental responsibility of leading the people into the Promised Land. This underscores the idea that a strong foundation in God's Word is essential for effective leadership and spiritual growth. The command was explicit: Joshua was commanded to keep the Book of the law on his lips, meditate on it day and night, and carefully obey its teachings. These are keys to achieving prosperity and success, not just in physical terms, but as living in alignment with God's purpose!

Impact by Voicing God’s Words in the Book: This signifies constant confession and careful conversation about God's Word. Joshua was conscious of the need to actively engage with the Word, not just through occasional reading of scriptures, but speaking on them, reflecting on them, and allowing them to influence every aspect of life. By keeping God's Word on our lips, we are reminded of His promises and commandments, which serve as a guide for our actions and decisions.

Meditating on God's Word Day and Night: This involves allowing the contents of the Book to deeply penetrate our hearts and minds, shaping our thoughts, actions, and reactions. Meditation involves actively thinking about and reflecting on the scriptures, allowing God's Word to transform our thoughts and renew our minds. We do not just read the Bible, we soak it in, letting it become part of us. We memorize the Word and reflect on it in every way until these become spiritual habits!

Obedience and Action: Obedience to God’s Word is consistently connected to good success and prosperity. We must be careful to do everything written in the Book of books, turning Biblical teachings into practical actions and a life of obedience.

Prayer:
Lord, cause us to make God-glorifying IMPACT by the BOOK, as we confess, meditate in, and do the Word, in Jesus’ name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
