TIME OF DIVINE VISITATION

Bible Meditation:
Luke 19: 34-44

“…and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the TIME of YOUR VISITATION” – Luke 19:44

God in His sovereignty designs and determines the TIME of DIVINE VISITATION: “And level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation” (Lk.19:44). The story of the Triumphal Entry is not just a historical event marking the Lord’s entry into Jerusalem; it is a profound prophetic moment where heaven visited earth. Jesus came riding on a donkey, offering peace, yet the city that should have known Him best was blind to His Presence. The “Time of Divine Visitation” is that specific, ordained season when God intervenes in human affairs to bring transformation, salvation, and turnaround.

The Visitation of our Lord Jesus was purposeful, not accidental (vv.35-38). He entered Jerusalem with a specific agenda to fulfill prophecy and offer Himself as the King of Peace. God's Visitations are never casual; they are meant to change life’s narratives from stagnation to fruitfulness. But Visitation can be missed; hence, we must recognize and respond to God's Appointed Season (v.41). As the Lord approached, He wept, because He saw the city’s beauty but knew their hearts were blind. Many people miss their time of visitation because they are blinded by familiarity, looking for God in a way that suits their expectations, rather than recognizing Him in the “lowly donkey” of humility.

Christ’s Visitation carried “things that make for Peace” (v.42). However, peace – prosperity, wholeness, and rest – can be hidden from those focused only on materialistic goals. Missing the Time of Visitation can open one to the strategies of the enemy, and lead to devastation and wasted potential (vv. 43-44). Jerusalem was destroyed because they didn’t recognize the time when God came to deliver them. The danger of ignorance is that the people were too preoccupied with their religious activities to see the Redeemer and enter into relationship. Visitation is a "time" (Kairos) – an appointed, limited season. Once it passes, the opportunity for that specific level of grace may be gone!

Divine Visitation demands that we cultivate spiritual sensitivity. Staying "prayed up" and "word up" helps us to discern when God is doing a new thing, so we’ll not miss our moment. Just as Zacchaeus prepared his home for Jesus, we must actively prepare our hearts and lives in obedience and expectation (Lk.19:5). Divine Visitation is not just about material blessings, but the arrival of God’s Presence and Peace.

In Jesus’ Name, I affirm that:

I receive the grace to recognize my time of divine visitation. My season of visitation will not pass me by. I will not miss my hour of visitation.

God is visiting my family with miracles, signs, and wonders. I receive a divine turnaround that will end all years of tears, toil, and struggle.

My eyes are opened to the opportunities God is bringing my way. The peace of God that passes understanding tabernacles in my home.

I am positioned for a lifting, and the enemy shall not see or touch me. My story is changing from ignominy to dignity and from shame to glory.

Adetokunbo O. Ilesanmi (Meditations)

Prayer:
Lord, having delivered us from spiritual blindness and ignorance, open our eyes to recognize our Time of Divine Visitation and Mercy, in Jesus’ name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
