Bible Meditation:
Genesis 26: 1-30

…The Lord hath made room for us and we shall be fruitful in the land – Genesis 26:22

“Discovering your PURPOSE creates REST. God is committed to working out His purposes irrespective of the opposition and difficulties. Discovering your purpose will thus create such a peace and rest in your soul. You are so sure that God is in control of your times and seasons. As you accept His yoke, He bears the responsibility of working out His purpose in you.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you REST. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find REST unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30).

The believer is called to REST in the finished work of Christ, REST from his own works. He is called to ABIDE in Christ. It is from rest a believer prospers in all the will of God. Once strife ceases in a community, new foundations are laid, old ones are completed, new things emerge. Once PURPOSE is discovered, REST results.

A bird with wings implies that there is provision made for it to display and use those wings. Fins on the body of a fish also imply a conducive environment for it to live and function maximally. Your presence in the world today surely implies a specific role that God has assigned you to perform excellently. Faith ultimately rises in your heart when God’s purpose is discovered.

The purpose of the believer is manifold. Apart from displaying the excellencies of God, he is also expected to be fruitful in all that he does. Isaac understood he was favoured of God, favoured with God’s blessing and mercy. So in the time of famine he kept on labouring in faith until he said, “Rehoboth…The Lord hath made room for us and we shall be fruitful in the land.” The promise was for fruitfulness, the purpose was a revelation to the heathen of the grace of God on the life of Isaac, a worshipper of the true God. The purpose created room for Isaac and the people saw his God in action. “…We saw certainly that the Lord was with thee…” (Genesis 26:28).

Let God’s word reach you. Let it confer on you the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Shun the world’s view of God, the Lord Jesus Christ and life. Renew your mind with God’s thoughts as revealed in the Holy Scriptures and ROOM, great room will result for you to fulfil God’s purpose for your life.”

Prayer:
Lord, let the discovery of Your divine purpose for my life usher me into the Rest of faith and command greater room for me in destiny!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
