PROMISES OF DIVINE LOVE

“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you” – Jeremiah 31:3b

The Bible is profuse with PROMISES of DIVINE LOVE: “The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you” (Jer.31:3). While the Old Covenant foreshadows the Love of God, the New Covenant personifies His Love through His Son, Jesus Christ: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (Jh.3:16). God promises to love us unconditionally: “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the LOVE of GOD which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39)

Scriptures present God’s Love as an enduring, active, and unconditional ‘force’ that persists despite human failure, aiming for restoration and intimate relationship. Today’s meditation text promises a future restoration of Joy and covenant faithfulness rooted in an "everlasting love." God loves His people not just with a temporary affection, but with an eternal, covenant, loyal, unending love. He uses lovingkindness to proactively actively draw people to Himself, rather than driving them through fear (v.3). God promised that despite past disobedience, He would rebuild and restore the lives of His people (v.4). The promised outcomes were that He’ll turn mourning into joy, comforting His people and replacing sorrow with celebration (v.13); and satisfy the souls of His people with His goodness and abundance (v.14). 

Beloved, please join me in these prophetic declarations of God's Love, in Jesus’ Name:

I declare that I am loved with an everlasting love, and that love has no beginning or end. I decree that God’s lovingkindness is drawing me closer to Him every day.

I affirm that because I am God's child, I am securely held in His love, and nothing can separate me from it. I declare that my past mistakes cannot change God's love for me.

I prophesy that the Lord will turn for me, mourning into joy and sorrow into dancing. I decree that my life is being rebuilt and restored to a place of honour and position of dignity.

I declare that God is for me, and therefore, no opposition can prevail against me. I affirm that I am satisfied with the Goodness of the Lord, and I shall not lack.

God is turning what the enemy meant for evil into a source of my joy. I am more than a conqueror through Him who loves me. 

The Love of God is unending, from eternity to eternity; and it is unconditional – based on God’s Character, not human performance.
