Luke 24: 45-53

“...but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with POWER from ON HIGH – Luke 24:49b

The Word of God affirms the promise of the POWER of THE SPIRIT for IMPACT: Behold, I send the PROMISE of My Father upon you: but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with POWER from ON HIGH” (Lk.24:49). The Holy Spirit is the Promise of the Father. Our Lord Jesus said: “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things” (Jh.14:26a). His Power is what it takes to reign amidst an opposing, oppressive, and corrupting world. The promise didn’t delay being fulfilled. The Power fell in the form of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2: 1-3).

To receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit is to receive a baptism of Power, an immersion into God’s Capacity for Performance. Every Believer in Christ is thus born into power, and baptized into power. There is no reason for anyone in Christ to live a defeated or frustrated life. In Christ, we’ve entered Realms of Power. We are backed up from heaven with the Power of God, which is not just a label or an emblem but an instrument of Triumph: “Behold, I give you the AUTHORITY to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the POWER of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Lk.10:19).

The Power of the Holy Spirit for impact manifests in varied degrees in individuals’ lives and is often described metaphorically using the imagery of wells, rivers, and rains, all representing His life-giving Power and transformative Presence. These metaphors highlight the Spirit’s ability to refresh, empower, and provide spiritual sustenance, much like water nourishes the earth. Some are saved and modestly enjoy a ‘well’ level of power. Others are filled with the Holy Spirit and are taking dips at the river level; while others are pressing into the Anointing – the Power of the Holy Spirit and enjoying the Rains of the Spirit.

A well represents a source of water akin to the Power of the Spirit to quench spiritual thirst. Our Lord Jesus spoke of a fountain of living water that wells up in believers, offering eternal life (John 4: 13-14). Rivers represent the continuous flow of the Power of the Spirit, washing away spiritual obstacles. The “rivers of living water” that flow from Believers signify the ability to share the Spirit’s Power with others (John 7: 37-39). Rains represent the decent or outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon believers, ushering in revival, renewal, and a refreshing Presence. The “rain of the Spirit” ushers in phenomenal supernatural encounters.

These metaphors emphasize that the Presence of the Holy Spirit is not a fleeting experience, but a continuous source of Life and Power, transforming Believers into channels of His Power, capable of impacting their own lives and others around them.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
