LIVING IN PRAISE ZONE

Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord – Ephesians 5:19 (NKJV)

The practical Christian life is meant to be lived in Praise zone. Believers are designed to ride perpetually on Praise Lane! Unfortunately, some of God’s children are far away from Praise zone, crawling on the dust tracks of depression and defeat. God’s Word and the Psalms in particular, are filled with praise. One wonders then, why that isn't the case in the lives of some believers! How much of your daily conversation is spent in praise to the Lord? Are you characterized by a spirit of praise and an attitude of gratitude? How much of your life is being lived in Praise zone?

Consider your habitual attitude, state of mind, and spiritual preparation as you face each day. Are you truly living as a child of God? Do you take the time to get yourself in a proper, positive frame of mind? Do you make the conscious effort to connect your spirit with God’s Spirit, and your thoughts with His thoughts? Do you live in the daily reality of Romans 12:2 – “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”? How much of your life is knowingly and deliberately spent in the Praise zone?

Praise is to acknowledge who God is and what He is doing and has done. It is an awareness and declaration of our dependence upon God. However it is defined, the real question is: “Does praise define you?” Are you a visible expression of God’s Praise? God desires that you live everyday of your life in Praise zone. God’s invitation of praise is to all people, regardless of race, color, age or generation. Praise is Intentional: you come before His presence and enter into His gates and His courts deliberately. Above all, praise brings you into the Presence of our very personal God, not a distant entity! The Praise zone is therefore universal, multi-generational, intentional, and personal.

Of course, there are other options of possible zones you could choose to spend your life in: Anxiety zone, Anger zone, Bitterness zone, Critical zone, Complaints zone, Depression zone, Defeat zone, Doubt Zone, or Worry zone. I exhort by God’s Word and Spirit that you decide, resolve, and set your desire to live each day in the Praise zone. You must endeavour to keep running life’s race on the Praise Lane! The grace of God is more than sufficient to help perfect your decision!
