Bible Meditation:
Psalm 105:26-45

He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give LIGHT IN THE NIGHT – Psalm 105:39

The Almighty God specialises in giving LIGHT in the NIGHT. When Israel began to cry out to Him to deliver them from the darkness of Egypt, the Lord sent Moses and Aaron to demonstrate His signs and wonders. Ironically, as part of the display of His Power, the Lord of Light also sent “darkness” to bring Egypt to her knees (Ps.105:28). After Egypt had come to her wits end, the Lord then released His “fire to give Light in the Night” for His own people (vs.39). God leads His people through the darkest nights into glorious dawns.

The Bible refers to “night seasons”: “I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel: my heart also instructs me in the NIGHT SEASONS.” (Ps.16:7). For worldly, fleshly folks, night seasons are meant only for sleeping, stretching and snoring. Sleep is good and indeed meant to be peaceful and sweet (Ps.4:8). For the Believer however, night seasons bring divine instructions and unique revelations. Psalm 19:2 also says: “Day unto day utters speech, and NIGHT unto NIGHT reveals knowledge.” May the Lord train us to maximise our night seasons; May He shine His light in our nights in Jesus name!

We are in peculiar times, the end-time. We must be sensitive to the times: “…knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed” (Rom.13:11). “Therefore let us not sleep, as others do; but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night; and those who get drunk are drunk at night” (1The.5:6-7). However dark the night of life, God is willing and able to give Light in our night seasons. He desires to flood our hearts with the light of revelation and give direction in the midst of pervading confusion.

Beyond His children receiving the light of direction, God wants us to be the light in the world’s darkest night. The prophet Daniel wrote about a time when those who turn others to the Lord will shine like stars forever (Dan.12:3). We must all join in that great assignment. We are to “shine as lights in the world” (Phil.2:15). We are to brighten the dark places within our neighbourhoods and workplaces. When Jesus, the eternal Light of the world shines through us to illuminate the earth, His beauty, splendour, and glory will attract people of every tribe and tongue. We would then truly be the People of His Glory!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
