GOD’S CALLING – MOSES’ PURPOSE

Come now therefore and I will send thee unto Pharaoh that thou might bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt – Exodus 3:10

“Moses was born of Hebrew slaves, grew up in Pharaoh’s court and became mighty in words and deeds (Acts 7:22). For the first eighty years of his life, he was a prince, a general, a murderer and a shepherd. None of these designations was God’s purpose for him. Moses did not become the Moses we know today until God spoke to him. [None of the designations was meant to be his destination]

“Come now therefore and I will send thee unto Pharaoh that thou might bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt” Exodus 3:10

When God spoke those words, what the whole world recognizes the name Moses for was revealed – Israel’s deliverer, lawgiver and judge. Your purpose is what God calls you. Others may call you an apostle because you have oratory abilities but you are not one until God calls you: WHATSOEVER GOD CALLS A THING, that it is. Moses faced Pharaoh not as an orator but a stammerer. He taught Israel statues and laws as a stammerer. Natural gifts and talents though an asset, do not ultimately reveal God’s purpose. It is God’s calling that expresses God’s purpose for all things including mankind.”

Your present DESIGNATION may not be your DESTINATION.

Your purpose is what God calls you.
