FLAVOURS OF FAVOUR

Bible Meditation:
1 Samuel 1: 1-20

And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men – 2 Samuel 2:26

Favour comes in different flavours to nourish the diverse dimensions of life! There are as many flavours of favour as there are human needs in need of divine help. The Lord looked upon Hannah with favour, answered her prayers and blessed her with a male-child – Samuel. That was the flavour of favour that defeats barrenness. The child Samuel however experienced a different dimension and flavour of favour – the same as the boy Jesus – favour for divinely-directed growth (Lk.2:52).

Finding and enjoying the favour of God can make the huge difference to your life, family, business, projects and ministry. Favour with God is a secret to success in every aspect of life. His favour can spell the difference between success and failure, gladness and sadness, hope and despair, laughter and tears, rejoicing and regret, even life and death. His favour can transform any career, marriage and entire life positively. It can turn difficult and impossible situations to opportunities and blessings for His glory. His favour can help to leverage your feeble human efforts and produce a maximized life!

There are essentially two classes of people in this world: the favoured and the disfavoured. Gods favour has been extended to His children. We, His covenant children are His beloved – His favourites! The favour of God is not for some special or ‘super’ personalities. It is not only for pastors or ministers. Favour falls on men and women, boys and girls, old and young – especially those who are of the Household of Faith! Favour can be attracted and forfeited. I pray you never forfeit His favour.

Favour has featured at critical places and times in human history. Many crucial moments in history turned on whether someone did or did not receive the favour of God. The Bible – from Genesis to Revelation – displays diverse portraits of favour, few of which we are already encountering and shall yet encounter in the course of these daily meditations.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
