Bible Meditation:
Esther 5: 1-14

And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained FAVOUR in his SIGHT in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre – Esther 5:2

The main Hebrew word for ‘favor’ (sa ah) means: to gaze steadily with interest or to regard; it never refers to a casual or disinterested glance. The favour of God is when God fixes His GAZE upon a person, even the details of one’s life. When God grants someone His favour, He takes a keen and lively interest in that person. He observes, watches, studies and lovingly fixes His steady gaze on the one so favoured. Similarly, the Greek word for favour (epeidon) means: to fix one’s gaze upon or to concern oneself with another.

The Greek word ‘charis’ is also translated ‘favor’ in a few instances: “And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast FOUND FAVOUR with God” (Lk.1:30); “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in FAVOUR with God and man” (Lk.2:52). This word however appears in the Bible more than a hundred times in the form of “grace.” Thus, “favour” and “grace” are closely related.

From all of its shades of meaning, favour means: having God’s GAZE beaming upon you. Favour is God giving you wholesome attention and singular audience. Favour is the Lord shining His face upon you; His face of delight – His face of pleasure. God located Esther and singled her out from the crowd of maidens. God granted her favour in the sight of the king, because His face of favour was already shining upon her. When you are favoured by God, men are bound to favour you!

While some people encounter God’s face of anger and wrath, others enjoy His face of favour. By the encounter with this Word, the favour of God has located you. The Lord will show you favour in the morning, favour in the afternoon, favour in the evening, favour in the night time and favour all the days of your life in Jesus name.

Prayer:
Lord, please locate me by Your favour. Let Your face shine continually upon me. Let me never depart from beneath Your glorious gaze in Jesus name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
