2 Chronicles 26: 3-15

“…As long as he sought the Lord, GOD MADE HIM PROSPER – 2 Chronicles 26:5a

Passionate Pursuit of the Lord is the route to encountering DIVINE POWER FOR PROSPERITY: "He sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God; and as long as he sought the Lord, GOD MADE HIM PROSPER (2 Chr.26:5). The English Standard Version says: "He set himself to seek God in the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the fear of God...." Performance in life is not just a product of human talent, hardwork, or intellect. While King Uzziah was creative, industrious, and brave, the true secret to his marvellous help and unparalleled success was his dedication to seek God (v.15). Seeking is the Secret of Marvelous Help (v.15).

At age 16, Uzziah took the throne and understood that he needed more than political wit; he needed divine guidance. He set himself to seek God, surrounded with godly mentorship (such as Zechariah) and pursued God's Wisdom, not just His assistance. As long as his heart was aligned with God, his performance was backed by divine power, resulting in Victory in battles, building of lasting infrastructure, and incredible fame. Divine Power for Performance flows from a consistent, intentional pursuit of God's Presence. Uzziah’s success was not random; it was a consequence of seeking the Lord. When we focus on God, He makes us prosper!

Uzziah took the throne young but chose to act in obedience rather than recklessness (vv.3-5). He decided early to set his heart towards His Maker. True success begins when we recognize our need for God early in our endeavours, rather than seeking Him only when we face trials or failure. Also vital is the role of wise counsel. Zechariah instructed Uzziah in the “fear of God” (or "understanding of visions"). We need spiritual mentors who teach and model how to revere God, and help us navigate life with divine perspective rather than carnal intelligence. However, Uzziah didn't just ask for help casually; he engaged in active pursuit. "Seeking" involves intentional, consistent desire – meditating on the Word, prayer, and lifestyle obedience – seeking God's face over God’s hands!

God helps us to face strong opponents and grow: "God helped him against the Philistines... and his fame spread...for he became exceedingly strong” (vv.6-8). We seek Him, not just for personal success, but to become a blessing and to glorify His Name through our success.

In Jesus’ name, I declare that:

As I seek the Lord, He will make me prosper in all my ways. I receive divine power to act with wisdom and excel in my chosen fields.

I am amazingly helped by God to become strong and successful. My name shall be known for excellence; my work shall bring Glory to God.

Every opposition standing against my progress is dismantled by God’s Power. I shall not lack divine direction, for He is the guide of my heart.

I receive understanding and insight into Divine Visions for my life. I will not fall into pride; my heart will remain humble as God lifts me higher.

God is making me a developer, builder, and blessing to my generation. As I continue to seek the Lord, I shall continue to flourish and thrive!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
