Bible Meditation:
Isaiah 43: 1-21

This people have I formed for Myself; they shall show forth My Praise – Isaiah 43:21

Yesterday, we began to meditate on the rationale for praise. We noted that: God is worthy to be praised; praise is our holy calling; praise is evidence of life; and praise defeats the enemies and puts evil to flight. Added to these is the truth that you and I were CREATED TO PRAISE GOD!

The reason many people are frustrated and miserable in life is that God’s purposes for their lives are not being fulfilled. Outside of purpose, existence is a misery. Linked to purpose, life is an exciting mystery. The purpose of every product is defined by the maker. Until you know the purpose for which you were created, and key into it, living a fulfilled life may be an illusion. When you discover and apply yourself to divine purpose, you’ll experience the best of God’s plan for your life.

Praise is fundamental to your Life’s Purpose: “This people have I formed for Myself; they shall show forth My Praise” (Isa.43:21). Praise is an essential part of the Reason for your Being: “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light” (1Pet.2:9). God created you to show forth His praise. He redeemed you to proclaim His praises. Without the pursuit of God’s praise, purpose remains a fantasy. The child of God is never at his or her best outside of a life of praise.

Praise pleases God. Those who lived to please God lived to praise Him. David was a model of praise. No wonder he was a man after God’s heart (Acts 13:22). He lived to display and proclaim God’s praises. He lived up to God’s purpose for creating him and thereby won God’s heart. Praise pleases God much more than sacrifices of oxen or bulls: “I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bull, which has horns and hooves” (Psa.69:30-31).

When God is pleased, anything can happen. When God is excited, exploits are released. Praise pleases God; and everything answers to God’s pleasure. Therefore, learn to praise God with all your heart and life. When you praise Him, you please Him. When you praise, He’ll raise you. When you magnify Him, He magnifies your destiny. Go forth and begin to please God with your praises! Begin to live a life of purpose. Begin to live a life of praise.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
