COVENANT OF DOMINION

Bible Meditation:
Psalm 8:1-9

You have made him to have DOMINION over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet – Psalm 8:6

The atmosphere of dominion saturated creation. In particular, DOMINION was at the heart of human creation (Gen.1:26-28). The declaration of the WORD of DOMINION preceded and succeeded the creation of Man: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have DOMINION over…” (vs.26); “…God said to them “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have DOMINION over…” (vs.28). This Mandate incorporated Covenant-promises based on relationship and partnership with Deity, as well as definite Commands to be obeyed – rights and responsibilities.

DOMINION is a vocabulary of royalty, a language of authority, a kingdom word! No kingdom; no king. No king; no dominion. Kingdom simply means the KING’S DOMAIN: the area or territory over which the king has and exercises authority. Dominion is the exercise of a king’s authority within his domain. It is the function, occupation or work of a King. DOMINION however differs from DOMINATION. Dominion derives from a commission; domination is about competition and subjugation!

In Christ, the covenant mandate of dominion that was lost in Adam has been restored: For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall REIGN IN LIFE by one, Jesus Christ” (Rom.5:17). Having been delivered from the dominion of darkness, we who believe in Jesus are meant to reign in life! Dominion is the chief evidence of Deliverance! Whatever we have been delivered from can no longer have dominion over us! God has ordained us to exercise dominion in all dimensions of life! We have dominion over sin, Satan, demons, powers and networks of darkness, diseases, serpents, scorpions, and the evil world!

God’s Word reveals our position in dominion. We have been raised to the platform of dominion through redemption by the blood of Jesus (Eph.1:20-2:6). We must realize and actualize our possession of dominion: the authority, anointing, and ability to exercise both. God has empowered and expects us to practice dominion: that is, learn to think, talk, walk, reign, rule, and demonstrate dominion as kings! Walking in the Covenant of Dominion is demonstrated through a lifestyle of faith, dynamism, exploits, and triumph. There is no room for doubt, defeat, fear, stagnancy or timidity. Welcome to Dominion!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
