Psalm 119: 33-40

Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path – Psalm 119:105

We have seen how critical divine connection or fellowship is to fruitfulness. In this age of Internet connectivity, being disconnected by the service provider for any appreciable duration of time can be really unsettling and frustrating. Operating without Internet connectivity for just one day is unimaginable to some folks! Think of this: Would you panic if your connection with God was disrupted for a day, as much as you would for the interruption of your connection to the world-wide web?

The pathways to keeping your connection with God alive and vibrant are to spend time in the disciplines of His Word and the disciplines of devotion. The disciplines of the Word are to: hear (Rom.10:17), read (Lk.4:17-21), study (2Tim.2:15), meditate in (Psa.1:1-3), confess (Jos.1:8; Ps.1:1-3), teach (Acts 2:42), preach (2Tim.4:2), obey and live by Word (Lk.4:4). Those who are “doers of the Word” rather than mere hearers are guaranteed to be fruitful (Psa.1:1-3; Jam.1:22-24). The disciplines of devotion include: thanksgiving, praise, worship, and prayers (1The.5:17-18); regular quiet time (Mk.1:35); consecration, intercession, fasting, and fellowship (Heb.10:25).

The Psalmist recognised the importance of divine connection. He requested that God would teach him His statutes and give him understanding of His law (vv.33-34). He prayed that he be enabled to observe God’s law with his whole heart (v.34), walk in the path of His commandments (v.35), and turn away his eyes from looking at vain things (v.37). He remained “connected” to God by meditating on God’s Word and then applying it. When you are rightly and constantly connected to God, He’ll ensure that you’re correctly connected to the helpers of your destiny and enhancers of your fruitfulness.

God has given you His Word as a lamp to your feet and a light to your path, to lead you to Him. In order to recharge your spiritual battery, simply plug into the Source; and be perpetually plugged-in, so that you may be increasingly fruitful and ever relevant to His divine agenda and the fulfilment of divine purpose in destiny. It’s your time to blossom and bloom!

Lord, let me never be disconnected from You; let Your Word be lamp to my feet and light to my path perpetually, in Jesus name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
