CELEBRATING THE LIGHT OF MY LIFE

In Him was LIFE, and the life was the LIGHT of men – John 1:4

Today is my Special Day, the 56^th anniversary of my Birthday. What better way to rejoice in the Lord than to celebrate Him who is the LIGHT of my LIFE – JESUS CHRIST. He is the WORD that “was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was LIFE, and the life was the LIGHT of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend” (Jh.1: 3-5). JESUS is “the TRUE LIGHT which gives light to every man coming into the world” (v.9). Oh, how so graciously He has given me Light, and made me to become a light to my world! Because of Him, all evil bow before me; darkness and wickedness bow at my gates (Pro.14:19).

The Psalmist extolled my LORD: “For with You is the FOUNTAIN of LIFE: in Your light shall we see light” (Psa.36:9). I testify to this same truth: JESUS is the unceasing Fountain of my Life; in His Light do I continue to see light. He is the Fountain of my salvation, my sanctification, my strength, and my satisfaction. I am connected to the Fountain of Fulfilment and eternal Youthfulness. He ensures that my path in life is like a shining sun that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day (Pro.4:18). My ways glow with light; the longer I live, the brighter I shine. He makes my today to be better than my yesterday, and guarantees that my tomorrow will be better than my today. As I follow Him, I am shielded from stumbling and defended from darkness, because I have the Light of Life (Jh.8:12).

Psalm 34:5 says: “They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed.” This also is my story; this is my song! I have found Joy Unspeakable full of Glory in my Saviour’s Face. He is reflecting the irreversible Radiance of His Glory in and through my life. I’ve tasted and seen that the Lord is good, and decided to trust Him for all of time and eternity (Psa.34:8). In His Light I continually see light. He floods the path of my destiny with divine illumination. He instructs me; He teaches me in the way to go; He guides me with His eye (Psa.32:8). Because He lives, I can face tomorrow. Because He lives, all fear is gone. Because I know He holds my future, life is worth the living just because He lives!

“The Lord is MY LIGHT and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psa.27: 1). I celebrate Jesus, my Light, my Salvation, and the Strength of my Life! Hidden in Him, I am never afraid! Oh, what delight; what inexplicable Joy! By His amazing grace, because I follow Jesus, I have the Light; and I have passed from death to life. I have the Good Shepherd, the Great Shepherd, and the Chief Shepherd as the Shepherd of my Soul. He is my Redeemer, my Saviour, my Guide and my Peace. He is my Joy, Comfort and Hope. “He is the Living Water and my Bread from Heaven. Now, my heart is making melody: “In Christ alone my hope is found He is my Light, my Strength, my Song...”
