Bible Meditation:
Hebrews 2: 1-18

Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God – Hebrews 12:2

Today, I am excited to celebrate the Author and Finisher of my Faith, the Pioneer and Perfecter of my Life-project, and the Captain of my Salvation – Jesus Christ! The root meaning of “author” is “Captain, Leader, or Prince.” Christ is the Originator of my faith. My faith is sourced, strengthened, and sustained in and by Him. Jesus is the Genesis and Revelation of my faith. He watches over and sustains my faith as I walk daily with Him. He is the Finisher of my life’s journey. He that began a good work in me is able to bring it to completion and perfection (Phil.1:6). Because He finished the work of redemption perfectly, I also am guaranteed to finish well and finish strong in life’s race. I cannot forget that: He is my Alpha and Omega!

Jesus is the Creator, Originator, and Perfecter of all plans pertaining to my Life-Project. He is the Master Planner and Eternal Designer and Detailer of my destiny. Nothing is hidden from His all-seeing eyes. Walking in the light of His Word and by the leading of His Spirit, I will reach my zenith of distinction in destiny. Though there be twists, turns, valleys, hills, and gorges along the way, that may want to leave me discouraged and disillusioned, my face is set like a flint, “focused on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith”! He teaches me to rest assured, confident that He is in control. He makes all things happen for a reason, turning them all together for my good (Rom.8:28). In His hold and control, my life’s ship is sure to reach harbour safe and sound, for He gives me hope “as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast” (Heb.6:19).

Jesus is the Captain and Author of my Salvation (Heb.2:10; 5:9). He who began the good work of redemption in me will also finish it perfectly: “Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them” (Heb.7:25). With my focus fixed on Jesus, my faith will never falter or fail. He is always at work in my life. On this adventure of faith, I grow from faith to faith. On this side of eternity, I’m pressing forward and upward, and gaining the victory every day, as I walk by faith, and not by sight. As my Life’s Captain, Jesus directs, steers, presides, and is in control of my faith, and by extension of my entire destiny. His role as “Finisher” or Perfecter speaks of the conclusion of every matter. Focused on Christ, my life is sure and certain to conclude positively and on a note of triumph!

When I look unto Jesus, what and who do I see? I see the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, the Creator of the ends of the universe, the Sustainer of all being, the One who always was, always is, and always will be, the Pioneer and Perfecter of my faith, the Designer of my Destiny, and the Captain of my Salvation. I see the Unchanging Changer; unmoved, undefeatable, and invincible. I see the One who was bruised that I might be healed; pierced that He might ease my pain; died to give me life; and battled darkness to give me light! As the song “In Christ Alone” says: “From life's first cry to final breath JESUS COMMANDS MY DESTINY.  No power in hell, no scheme of man can ever pluck me from His hand. Till He returns or calls me home, here in the power of Christ I stand”!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
