“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience” – James 1: 2-3
Faith in God’s Word, Prayer, and Positivity are crucial to BUILDING RESILIENCE: “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience” (Jam.1:2-3). The resilience of Believers in Christ is rooted in the Hope we have in Christ; hence we can regard trials as opportunities for producing patience and perfecting maturity. Viewing difficulties through this lens shifts our perspective from victimhood to empowerment, allowing us to embrace trials and challenges as refining processes. Every trial becomes a stepping stone toward greater resilience and spiritual depth.
All human beings encounter storms – those tough times that test resilience and strength. But God equips His children to face challenges with courage. As we journey through life's storms, holding the right perspective, trials can become testimonies of God's Grace. Building resilience during trying times involves aligning our will and lives with God's Word, nurturing our spirits and minds, fostering supportive relationships, and anchoring ourselves in the unshakable Hope found in Christ (Rom.12:2; Heb.6:19). Here are five related ways to build resilience and stay strong to make God-glorifying Impact:
Prayer and Thanksgiving: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God; and the peace of God, which surpasses understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Phi.4:6-7). Prayer fosters a sense of peace and assurance that surpasses understanding. In difficult moments, turning to God in earnest prayer allows us to cast all anxieties upon Him and find solace in His Presence (1Pet.5:7).
Meditation on Scripture: “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psa.119:105). Regular prayerful immersion in God’s Word helps renew our minds, draw strength from God's promises, and provide spiritual nourishment and guidance, enabling us to navigate challenges with faith and confidence.
Sustaining a positive mindset: Choosing to focus on God's faithfulness and the blessings amidst trials fosters a positive mindset. Philippians 4:8 encourages us to dwell on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. By cultivating gratitude and optimism, we can overcome negative thoughts and emotions, building resilience in the process.
Trusting in God's Sovereignty: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Rom.8;28). Acknowledging His control over all situations, amid uncertainty and adversity, and trusting in His wisdom and goodness allows us to surrender fears and anxieties, and stand strong in faith.
Worship: Is a powerful weapon against despair and doubt (2Chr.20; Acts 16: 25-34). Engaging in heartfelt worship shifts our focus from problems to God's Greatness, Presence and Power.
By incorporating these life-practices, we can cultivate resilience in difficult times and terrains, to make God-glorifying Impact.

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
