VISION IS NOT AMBITION

“Natural, carnal thinkers often confuse certain notions with vision. We need to distinguish vision from its many misrepresentations. Vision is not Ambition…

Ambition is a self-made plan or expectation of what you desire to achieve. The word “ambition” derives from a Latin word meaning “canvassing for promotion”. Vision has no place for mere position-seekers, power-brokers and self-centred charlatans.

LEADERSHIP IS SUSTAINED ON VISION

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he – Proverbs 29:18

Leadership without a clear vision is doomed to mediocrity and failure; it cannot reach full potential. Outside of vision is confusion, as well as disorder, rebellion, anarchy, uncontrolled licence and frustration.

LEADERSHIP IS BUILT ON VISION

Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch – Matthew 15:14

TIME TO SEEK THE LORD

Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you – Hosea 10:12.

HEBRON: GATEWAY INTO GREATNESS

In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah” – 2 Samuel 5:5

“David sought access to the rulership of Israel and God directed him to Hebron (2 Samuel 2:1-4). When David went to Hebron the tribe of Judah (one out of twelve tribes) turned to him and submitted to him…

PRIMACY OF THE RESURRECTION

That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death – Philippians 3:10

“The subject of the resurrection isn’t limited to Easter Sunday, it’s important every day because it’s futuristic. Nothing impacts our tomorrows more than the simple phrase, “He is risen!” (Luke 24:6).

THE TRIUMPH OF TRUST

Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens – Hebrews 11:33-34

THE MANDATE AND THE MENACE

Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker – 2 Samuel 3:1

“For a moment let me take you back to David. He has been anointed king over Israel. However, Saul would not let him reign. For about fourteen years, David was on the run from Saul, who was hard bent on killing him. David had received a great vision – to ascend the throne of Israel.

He had God’s mandate for it but could not actualise it because of the menace of Saul. Then Saul died.

THE LAME TAKE THE PREY

Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail, then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey – Isaiah 33:23

“God indeed uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. The “foolishness” of God is wiser than men. Yes the foolishness that proceeds from God accomplishes far more than the wisdom of the wisest men. What more the wisdom of God!

GOD OF NEW BEGINNINGS

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful – Revelations 21:5

We serve the GOD of New Beginnings! His Word - the Bible - begins on the note of newness and ends with the expectation of newness.
It is the delight of God to always “make all things new”.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
