Bible Meditation:
Genesis 26: 1-14

“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him” Genesis 26:12

Obedience to Covenant Instructions guarantees DIVINE PROFIT even in times of crisis: “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him” (Gen.26:12). Having established that God is the Master Instructor who teaches us to profit, we now examine a vivid historical manifestation of “Divine Profit” in action through the life of Isaac – his experience of supernatural yield in a time of famine. In today’s meditation text, we find Isaac facing a severe economic crisis – a famine so harsh it threatened his very survival. His natural instinct was to flee to Egypt, a land of consistent irrigation and resources. However, God intercepted him with a strict covenant instruction: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. Dwell in this land, and I will be with you” (vv. 2-3a).

Despite a regional famine, Isaac obeyed God by staying and sowing in the land. Verses 12-14 record the breathtaking result of obedience – a miraculous 100-fold harvest directly attributed to God's Favour. In this rare moment of supernatural abundance, Isaac transmuted from a local farmer into an incredibly wealthy and powerful figure, sparking intense envy among his neighbors. His profit was not dictated by the nature of the soil or Gerar’s economic situation, but by his submission to divine direction. Divine Profit requires an obedient heart more than a favourable environment! When God performs His Word, natural laws are suspended, allowing abundance to manifest where failure is expected. When we sow in partnership with instructions from God, the harvest bypasses the limitations of nature.

The Believer’s anchor must be in the covenant more than in the economy. The global economy will fluctuate, but God's covenant remains constant. Faith demands that we anchor our financial confidence on God’s promises rather than base it on market trends. Staying in a famine-stricken land and sowing precious seed seemed foolish. We must obey even when it contradicts logic. Radical obedience is always the catalyst for supernatural breakthroughs. We must however remain gracious even while envy may be expected. True Divine Profit will make one a global wonder. When God distinguishes me, the world may envy me (v. 14), but my security rests in the One who blessed me!

In Jesus’ Name, I declare that:

I operate in the atmosphere of Divine Performance, insulated from crises. Even in times of famine and recession, I will thrive and flourish.

I receive the grace for prompt obedience to covenant instructions. I sow my seeds in faith, and I reap a 100-fold return in this very season.

The blessing of the Lord makes me rich, and He adds no sorrow with it. My actions are breaking records and defying human limitations.

Wasted years, failed projects, and famine are forever over in my life. God’s Hand protects my harvest from the enemies’ envy and malice.

Destined for distinction, I begin to prosper, continue prospering, and become exceedingly prosperous, set to command global attention.

Prayer:
Lord, grant us the courage to obey Your instructions, even when they contradict logic, and manifest Divine Profit for Your Glory, in Jesus' name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
