Bible Meditation:
1 Chronicles 22: 5-16

Then you will prosper, if you take care to fulfill the statutes and judgments with which the Lord charged Moses– 1 Chronicles 22:13a

In God’s Sight, true Success comes through IMPACT by the BOOK: “Then you will prosper, if you take care to fulfill the statutes and judgments with which the Lord charged Moses concerning Israel. Be strong and of good courage; do not fear nor be dismayed” (1 Chr.22:13). Similar to Joshua 1: 7-8, this verse, spoken by David to Solomon, his son and successor, highlights the connection between obedience to the Book – God’s Word, represented by “statutes and judgments” – and Success. It also underlines the importance of strength, courage, and adherence to divine commands on the pathway of success and prosperity.

The Word of God is represented in Joshua 1 by the word ‘Law,’ referring to the first five books of the Bible, the only portion in existence then. And Joshua was given three steps to take regarding God’s Law: to observe to do according to all that is in it, like a sentry or watchman who must stay alert and carefully guard against disobeying or neglecting God’s Word; to not turn from the Word to the right hand or to the left, depicting a traveller going on a defined path; and to meditate on the Word day and night, focusing his thoughts, pondering over, and reflecting on the scripture until they’re understood enough to be applied.

Today’s meditation text underscore David’s Desire and Divine Restriction. Despite his desire to build God’s temple, he was directed not to, due to his history of warfare. He was to prepare materials and instruct Solomon to build, signifying a shift from warfare to peace, and the importance of preparing for the future and laying groundwork for divine assignments: “Solomon my son is young and inexperienced, and the house to be built for the Lord must be exceedingly magnificent, famous and glorious throughout all countries. I will now make preparations for it” So David made abundant preparations before his death” (v.5).

David’s submission to the divine decision, despite his personal desires, shows humility, trust in God, and exemplary leadership (v.8). Trusting in God’s Timing and Purpose is essential for a life aligned with His Will. However, the secret of Solomon’s impactful success was only David’s preparation, but Solomon’s choice to live by the Book – according to God’s Word. David’s Instructions to Solomon highlight the importance of passing on Wisdom (v.13). We invest in the future with vision by sharing knowledge and experience to empower others to walk faithfully and confidently in their own journeys of destiny.

As Believers, we’ll prosper impactfully in all that God has given us to do, when we learn, confess, meditate in, and observe to faithfully apply His Word. Thus, someone has defined the word 'BIBLE' as: the 'Believer's Instructions Before Leaving Earth.'

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
