Bible Meditation:
2 Timothy 3: 10-17

“That the man of God may be complete, THOROUGHLY EQUIPPED for EVERY GOOD WORK” – 2 Timothy 3:17

Scriptures contain several profitable truths that speak to the value of SKILLS for IMPACTFUL LIVING: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, THOROUGHLY EQUIPPED for EVERY GOOD WORK” (2 Tim.3:16-17). Many of the skills, techniques, and strategies for fulfilment in various aspects of life – practically and spiritually, and that have benefited humanity positively, derive from the Bible. These truths are however not superficial, they must be desired, dug-out, and mined from the depths.

Let’s meditate briefly on few of these scriptures  before deeper explorations:

Proverbs 21:5 says: "The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty." This verse highlights the importance of careful, diligent PLANNING for success, contrasting it with the negative outcomes of hasty actions. There is an advantage that comes from diligent planning rather than hastily putting together things at the last minute. God has given us a duration of time on earth as a gift, as a responsibility, and a trust. How we use the years are important. Do we have a purpose behind the things we are doing?  Are they working for us an eternal destiny and an eternal reward – or are we just “killing time”? Living with no real purpose, intention, or plan behind what we are doing leads to a wasted life!

Proverbs 22:29 says: “Do you see someone SKILLED in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank” (NIV). This verse highlights the value of skill in life and profession, signifying that these qualities can lead to opportunities to work in esteemed positions, and culminate in success. Someone who is highly skilled, diligent, and excelling in their craft will be noticed, valued, and attract opportunities to serve in positions of influence and recognition.

Ephesians 5:15-17 says: “Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is” (NIV). This scripture emphasizes the importance of discernment in how we live our lives, particularly in the face of a challenging world. We must be intentional and thoughtful in our actions, making the most of our time by understanding and aligning with God's will. This involves careful consideration of our choices and actions, recognizing that our lives can either glorify God or be wasted on trivial pursuits.

We are encouraged as Believers to acquire, cultivate, and develop skills for Impactful Living, utilize our talents wisely, plan carefully, and seek God's guidance and training in all we do.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
