Daily Digest: Capstone Capsule

“EVEN to OLD AGE, I am He, and even to GRAY HAIRS I will carry you!” – Isaiah 46:4a

Today, as we glorify the God of Impact, let’s heartily worship The COMMANDER of DESTINIES, Who says: “Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been UPHELD BY ME FROM BIRTH, who have been CARRIED FROM THE WOMB; even to OLD AGE, I am He, and EVEN to GRAY HAIRS I WILL CARRY YOU! I have made, and I will bear, even I WILL CARRY, and will deliver you” (Isa.46:3-4). My God, Maker, and Father has greatly impacted my life, to make it a Life of Impact for His Glory! Having carried me from the womb and upheld me from birth, He has pledged to never tire or cease to carry me, through the vicissitudes in the world, even to old age and grey hairs, and to my final moment.

Psalm 71: 6-7 similarly affirms: “By You I have been UPHELD from BIRTH; You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb. My praise shall be continually of You. I have become as a Wonder to many, but You are my strong refuge” (Psa.71:6-7). God is worthy of Worship, as the Author of my life, Maker, Upholder and Sustainer from Birth. The lyrics of the beautiful hymn – In Christ Alone – capture my personal testimony today as I mark Sixty-four years of exiting my mother’s womb!

...In Christ alone my hope is found, He is my light, my strength, my song

This cornerstone, this solid ground, firm through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights of love, what depths of peace, when fears are stilled, when striving cease

My comforter, my all in all, here in the love of Christ I stand.

… There in the ground His body lay, Light of the world by darkness slain

Then bursting forth in glorious day, up from the grave He rose again

And as He stands in victory, sin's curse has lost its grip on me

For I am His and He is mine, bought with the precious blood of Christ

… No guilt in life, no fear in death, this is the power of Christ in me

From life's first cry to final breath, Jesus commands my destiny

No power of hell, no scheme of man, can ever pluck me from His hand

Till He returns or calls me home, here in the power of Christ I'll stand. Here in the power of Christ I'll stand!

Today, I worship my Lord and Saviour Jesus: the Architect, Designer, Detailer, and Commander of My Destiny; Author and Finisher of my Faith; Pioneer and Perfecter of my Life-project, and Captain of my Salvation (Heb.2:10; 5:9). By His Grace and at His Command, I press on the Upward Way, gaining new heights every day, as He perfects all He has purposed (vv.9-11).
