Bible Meditation:
Acts 2: 1-8

“And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting” – Acts 2:2

The outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost vividly demonstrates Divine VISITATION for EMPOWERMENT: “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting” (Acts 2:2). The context of the Unity of the brethren serves as the ultimate blueprint for divine empowerment: The disciples were "with one accord in one place" (v.1). Divine empowerment thrives in an atmosphere of unity and harmony. Division repels the Holy Spirit, but unity attracts His Manifest Presence.

The first display of Divine Visitation was corporate: “a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind” which filled the house (v.2). The wind signifies the invisible, irresistible, life-giving Power of the Holy Spirit, which came "suddenly." Just as wind clears debris, divine visitation clears long-standing barriers of stagnation, fear, and confusion. The second manifestation – individual and personal – comprised the “divided tongues, as of fire” alighting “upon each of them” (v.3). Fire represents purification, zeal, and passion. In the Old Testament, God’s Presence rested over the tabernacle; in the New, the fire rests on individuals to dissolve fear and limitations, and empower believers as bold witnesses.

The climax was the empowerment to speak: “They were all filled... and began to speak with other tongues” (v.4). The Holy Spirit took control of their vocal cords, giving them supernatural utterance. This signifies the shift from human limitation to the realms of supernatural ability, causing the amazement of the multitude, as uneducated Galileans were speaking the native languages of various nations (vv.5-8). Divine Empowerment breaks natural boundaries and announces us to our world. When God empowers us, the results will confound the world.

Beloved, let’s cultivate unity and expectancy, intentionally sustaining a lifestyle of prayer, oneness, and high expectation, devoid of offences or bitterness that could block seasons of visitation. Let’s trust God’s timing and be prepared to embrace His "sudden" Moves. The Spirit’s empowerment can arrive suddenly to turn mourning into dancing. The fire that fell was meant to be put to work. Concerning empowerment to speak, let’s surrender our speech for Holy Spirit to control, as we align our vocabulary with heaven. Instead of speaking doubt, sickness, or defeat, He’ll give us utterances of faith. By the Power of the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name, I declare that:

In this season of divine visitation, every long-standing delay in my life gives way. The Holy Spirit is sweeping through my life, clearing away every destiny-hindering obstacle.

The fire of the Holy Spirit consumes every limitation, fear, and spiritual weakness in my life. Every barrier of stagnation is broken; I am stepping into realms of accelerated progress and unusual favour.

My mouth is supernaturally empowered to saturate my circumstances with life, abundance, and victory. God’s Presence goes with me, serving as a shield and granting me unshakeable peace.

The Holy Spirit anoints me to be a powerful witness, drawing souls and changing lives wherever I go. Like the disciples at Pentecost, my life will command the attention and amazement of my generation.

Prayer:
Lord, let the Holy Spirit move in and upon us like a rushing mighty wind, with tongues of fire and Visitation for Empowerment, in Jesus’ name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
