Bible Meditation:
2 Corinthians 11: 1-15

“And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an ANGEL of LIGHT” – 2 Corinthians 11:14

That Jesus Christ is the TRUE LIGHT implies that there are false lights: “And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an ANGEL of LIGHT. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works(2Cor.11:14-15). If there is True light, it stands to reason that there is false light. John testified of Jesus as “the TRUE LIGHT which gives LIGHT to every man coming into the world” (Jh.1:9). The message has also been declared that: “GOD is LIGHT and in Him is no darkness at all” (1Jh.1:9b). False light is that which has a form of godliness, but is devoid of the power of true light (2Tim.3:5). False light seeks and seems to be like God, but it is not God!

Satan – “the father of lies” – in trying to imitate God, appears as an angel of light (Jh.8:44). People are more likely to embrace his lies if he approaches under the guise of being good. The very name 'Lucifer’ derives from the word light or luciferous, which means “bringing light” or “illumination.” In Satan's case, it is a false light – one that deceives rather than illuminates the Truth. The Bible describes him as the “god of this age” who blinds the minds of those who do not believe, from seeing the shining light of the gospel of the Glory of God (2Cor.4:4). Satan and his minions are often the direct source of much of the perversity and evil on earth (Jh.8:44). Sadly, multitudes sheepishly follow the false light as he leads them into temporal deception and eternal damnation!

Praise God, Christ has set us free from the bondage of sin (Eph.2:1-2). However, this provides no occasion to boast or to drop our guard. Satan tries to counterfeit every gift God gives, to pervert and distort every blessing from God, and to imitate every miracle the Lord performs. The accuser tries to condemn us before God. The big question is: How do we know if a particular light is true or false? 1John 4:1 says: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” We’re not to jump at everyone with a title or a collar, but discern spirits. There are true apostles and there are false apostles (2Cor.11:13). The way to differentiate them is with God’s Word in our hearts. When we embrace and understand the True Light, we will never be deceived.

As we choose to walk in the Light of God’s Word, asking Him to open our eyes, we shall discern the True Light from false lights, and abide in the unquenchable Light of Truth! As Believers in Christ, the True Light is our nature, and we can light the world with the knowledge of who we are in Him.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
