THANKSGIVING IS IMPERATIVE

Bible Meditation:
Psalm 136: 1-26

Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD – Psalm 150:6

Let us ponder on why thanksgiving is imperative and not an option. You must give thanks to the Lord, because the very breath of your nostrils is sourced in God. Everything that has breath must praise the Lord. The chief essence of my breath is His praise (Psa. 150:6).

You must give thanks to the Lord, because every good thing in your life is sourced in God: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (Jam. 1:17). Remember: a person can receive nothing except it is given from above (Jh. 3:27).

You must give thanks to the Lord, because all that people marvel at in your life is His doing: This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes (Psa. 118:23). Those who stop thanking God cease shining.

You must give thanks to the Lord, because your strength is sourced in God: “He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail” (1 Sam.2:9); and “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy” (Rom 9:16).

Thanksgiving is a MUST for a great and glorious future and destiny! This is the only life you will have before you enter into eternity. To find JOY, you must first find THANKSGIVING. He who is thankful for even a little enjoys much; but the unappreciative soul is always miserable and always complaining. He lives outside the shelter of the Most High God – outside the divine Presence!
Moreover, the complaining, unthankful and ungrateful readily open the door to the destroyer, as the Israelites who murmured in the wilderness invited destruction swiftly (1Cor. 10:10). It does not matter what your circumstances are, the instant you begin to thank God, even if your situation does not change instantaneously, you will begin to change. The key that unlocks the gates of heaven is a thankful heart. Entrance into God’s courts comes as you begin to thank Him. This is your season of thanksgiving; this is your season of triumph!

Prayer:
Lord, let the fountains of thanksgiving be unplugged in my heart, that my very breath would freely release appreciation and gratitude for Your immeasurable goodness, grace and mercy in Jesus name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
