“Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I AM READY to PERFORM MY WORD” – Jeremiah 1:12

God’s Word runs with uncommon Velocity to deliver SWIFT DIVINE PERFORMANCE: “Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I AM READY to PERFORM MY WORD” (Jer.1:12). When God issues a decree over a life, there is no opposition or hesitation to its execution. He vigorously stands guard over His Spoken Word to perform it. God called Jeremiah into a huge prophetic assignment at a time when the nation was in deep decay. Jeremiah felt unqualified, stuttering in fear over his youth and lack of credentials. But God reached out, touched his mouth, put His words in him, and gave him a strange vision of an almond branch, which symbolizes wakefulness and a speedy awakening.

In the original Hebrew context, the word used for "ready" or "watching" in verse 12, literally means to be fully awake, alert, and sleeplessly standing guard. It is a brilliant play on words because the almond tree is the very first tree to wake up and blossom in the winter, long before any other plant. God used this imagery to assure Jeremiah that He was actively and vigilantly watching over His Word, for sure fulfillment. All of these portray Active Watchfulness: God is actively attentive to His promises rather than passive or dormant, ensuring His spoken purposes manifest in due time. He is not trapped in sluggish earthly systems and does not operate under human limitations.

The moment a promise leaves His Mouth concerning our lives, God stands over it like a sleepless sentinel. He actively compels the seasons of our lives to accelerate, causing seeds of prophecy to bud, blossom, and bear fruit with a swiftness that completely breaks natural protocols. The Words of the Almighty carry an instant creative weight that maximizes time. God explicitly disallows delays when due season has come: “For I am the Lord; I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass; it will no more be postponed” (Ezek.12:25). When He says a matter is settled, His dynamic Word will speedily catch up with the situation. He actively watches over our destinies for performance.

In Jesus’ name, I affirm that:

The Almighty God Who formed me in my mother’s womb, knew and sanctified me, has ordained me to fulfil unique Divine Assignments.

The Hand of the Lord has touched my mouth and His Words have filled my heart and mouth to decree and partake of swift divine performance!

The Lord is awake, alert, and actively performing His Word in my life. Every seed of prophecy spoken over my destiny shall bud and blossom.

God’s dynamic Word will bypass human protocols to favour me in life. Every locked gate in my path opens as His Voice shatters all bars.

The Lord sets me over the nations and kingdoms to root out, pull down, destroy, throw down, build, plant, and fully perform His Perfect Will.
