Bible Meditation:
Psalm 113: 1-9

“He raises the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the ash heap, that he may seat him with princes...” – Psalm 113: 7-8a

Psalm 113 presents an anthem of praise that decodes SUPERNATURAL EXALTATION within the framework of Divine Performance: “He raises the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the ash heap, that he may seat him with princes – With the princes of His people” (Psa.113:7-8). The psalm begins with a high-power command for God’s servants to praise His name from the rising of the sun to its setting (vv.1-3). This global adoration is called for not just because of God’s Majesty above the heavens, but His exemplary humility, and stunning, unparalleled compassion toward the forgotten and vulnerable segments of human society – the poor, needy, and barren (vv.4-9). When God pulls a person from the absolute bottom, He bypasses every middle protocol to ensure that human connections take no credit for the flight!

The Psalmist presents God’s condescending Majesty: He Who is exalted on high, "humbles Himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth" (vv.5-6). His greatness is proven by His willingness to look down and pull up. He does not look at the poor with pity; He looks at them with a promotion agenda! His Model of Divine Performance completely rewrites human sociology. In the world’s systems, people move up through inheritance, economic background, or political alignment. God reaches down into the absolute zero-points of human existence – the dust of obscurity and dunghill of societal rejection – and launches individuals straight into the corridors of territorial authority.

The word "seat" implies a permanent, architectural anchoring. Whoever God promotes from the dunghill is not invited to the palace as a temporary guest, but established there as an institutional peer. God is the Sovereign Equalizer, Who according to Mary’s Magnificat, has "put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted the lowly” (Lk.1:52). This perfectly echoes Hannah's song in 1 Samuel 2:8. The dunghill-to-prince trajectory is therefore a recurring Model of Divine Operation. The dust and dunghill imageries represent seasons, not our final destination; hence, we must not anchor our identity in our background, or let our current limitations dictate the boundary of our vision.

Since our lifting is a sovereign divine performance, let’s cultivate total dependence on God, looking away from human godfathers. The Owner of the Universe is capable of orchestrating our irreversible exaltation, as we anchor our hearts in endless praise and keep our atmosphere charged with thanksgiving, knowing that He inhabits the praises of His people. His Presence is the vehicle that drives supernatural promotion.

In Jesus’ Name, I declare that:

I have been supernaturally pulled out of the dust of obscurity and stagnation to step boldly into my ordained season of supernatural exaltation.

The Lord has lifted me completely out of the dunghill of penury and lack. I am permanently broken free from the limitations of my background.

The Favour of God has granted me unrivalled visibility and honour. By His decree, I am firmly set among the champions in my chosen fields.

He Who has the power to rebalance the scales of destiny has changed my story. I walk in the reality of unimpeded, accelerated promotion.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
