SPIRITUAL

These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing SPIRITUAL things with SPIRITUAL - 1 Corinthians 2:13

Alleluia! Welcome to September, our Month of the SPIRITUAL. We praise the Lord for His exceeding and amazing Grace that was bountifully bestowed on us in the month of August and which continues to abound even now. The goodness of God that has seen us all the way from January, through the first two thirds of the year, would carry us triumphantly, through this final third, in Jesus name.

Beloved in Christ, I perceive very strongly that what we need at this moment is to deliberately switch our awareness and consciousness from the mundane to the sublime, from the levels of the earthly, fleshly, and natural, to the realms of the spiritual and supernatural - the realms of spirits. We are quite familiar with the natural realm, the realm of matter and of the physical senses. We begin today on an exciting, biblical and Prophetic Sojourn into the Realms of Spiritual Realities.

Our emphasis this month will be on the SPIRITUALS - spiritual "things"; spiritual realities; the spiritual realm and realms; the Holy Spirit; our Spiritual Rock; spiritual entities and personalities; spiritual blessings; spiritual development, maturity and growth; spiritual food; spiritual drink; spiritual gifts; spiritual senses; spiritual discernment; the spiritual mind; spiritual judgement; and as much of the inexhaustible spectrum of the spiritual as we can reach into.

As we commence this prophetic adventure, we'll come to realise that the spiritual is as real, if not more real than the physical. Scriptures attest consistently to the reality of the spiritual. Although 1 Corinthians 15:46 says, "the spiritual is not first but the natural, and afterward the spiritual," this simply buttresses the superiority of the spiritual over the physical. In a sense, the spiritual "controls" or oversees the physical. God's will is to be done "on earth as it is in heaven" (Matt.6:10). The earthly follows the pattern of the heavenly. Above all, GOD, the Creator is Himself, Spirit: "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth" (Jh.4:24). This scripture infers that any human activity - worship inclusive - can be performed either in the flesh or in the spirit, but it is the spiritual that's more desirable and acceptable before God than the natural.

The greatest realities in creation are spiritual, yet they have immense impact on the natural. For example: Faith, Hope, and Love - the three abiding divine realities are spiritual (1Cor.13:13). Angels, the devil and demons are spirits. Even 'man' is a spirit, who possesses a soul, and lives in a body. You are a spirit, with a soul, packaged in a body. Paul prayed thus: "Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely: and may your whole SPIRIT, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ" (1The.5:23).
