THE REAL GIFT OF CHRISTMAS

Date:

Bible Meditation:
Matthew 2: 1-11

And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh – Matthew 2:11

The wise men fell down and worshipped Him – the Gift – whose Value outweighed any kind or treasure they could ever have brought to present. Christmas is about praising God for the Gift of His Son Jesus. Nothing is more worthy of our gratitude than the precious gift of our Messiah. At Christmas, we remember that God came searching for us in order to save us. On this eve of Christmas Day, it is apt to remember that gratitude is perfect attitude for this season. It is the season to take time to consider, count and give thanks to our Father-God for blessings – small and great.

Let’s give thanks to the Father Who in His immeasurable love freely bestowed His very best – His Son – as the Ultimate Gift to humanity. This is the season to praise the Lord Who provides us His children everything we have, forgives our trespasses and sins, and knows and loves us from eternity to eternity.

If you THINK deeply, you will THANK God profusely. You say: what can I be thankful for this Christmas? The breath in your nostrils has its genesis in God (Psa. 150:6). Every good thing in your life is sourced in God (Jam. 1:17). All that people marvel at in your life are His doing (Psa. 118:23).

Christ is the reason for this season. He is the real Gift of Christmas – bringing salvation and redemption to mankind. Exalt the King of Glory, magnify Him Who orchestrated Christmas. May our worship be a fragrant offering we lay at the feet of our Holy God who saved us. Will you offer thanks for your redemption today?

Prayer:
Lord, guide me into a true and profitable appreciation of the Gift of Your Son in this season of sacrifice and Love; cause me to think deeply that I may thank profusely in Jesus name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
