Bible Meditation:
John 18: 28-40

FOR THIS CAUSE I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth” – John 18:37b

Experiencing Fulfilment in Life is hinged on deep and accurate revelation of THE PRIMACY of PURPOSE: You say rightly that I am a king. FOR THIS CAUSE I was born, and FOR THIS CAUSE I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice” (Jh.18:37b). This was the reply of the Lord Jesus Christ to Pilate’s question: “Are You a king then?” (v.37a). The words “cause” and “purpose” are synonyms. Jesus was saying, “For this purpose I was born, and for this purpose I have come into the world.” He knew deep down in His Heart why He was born; why He had come into the world! There was a paramount purpose to pursue!

Humanity was not only created for a universal purpose; every human being was born for a definite divine assignment. Deep down in the heart of every reflective human being is a consciousness of a divine cause; an inner knowing of the reason for our being. We each desire to have a meaningful cause to live for and fulfil. This is not unique to a special set of people; it's a longing of every human being. God has deposited something to believe and pursue within each of our hearts; something for which we can have fiery fervour. We feel a longing to know and be reassured that our lives have meaning and significance; and that we are needed in this world for something special and unique.

Some people were born to reign, some to lead, some to administer, some to give direction, some to instruct, some to nurture, some to create beautiful works of architecture or arts, some to pioneer and break new grounds, some to invent, some to innovate and generate products, some to share care, joy, or encouragement; some to command armies; some to build men and others to build gigantic edifices or empires. Mary Kay Ash said concerning her life’s purpose: “My goal is to live my life in such a way that when I die, someone can say, she cared.” Rick Warren asserts that knowing our purpose gives life meaning, simplicity, focus and motivation, besides preparing us for eternity.

Beloved, to what end were you born? For what cause did you come into the world? What’s the main reason for your being? Like your fingerprint, your purpose is particular to you. It is uniquely yours. It cannot be someone else's path. It is not necessarily your parent’s path or your family's trail. God planned for you to fulfil definite assignments on this side of eternity; to make unique contributions to His creation.

Our lives are not chance happenings! We’re divinely-programmed with commensurate grace and gifts, to pursue and fulfil definite purposes!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
