Bible Meditation:
Psalm 93: 1-5

“The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of the sea” – Psalm 93:4

As we continue to ‘Declare His Praise,’ let’s learn to PRAISE GOD THROUGH THE FLOODS: The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of the sea” (v.3-4). God wants your Voice to be lifted above the noise of the floods. Recall His Prophetic Pledge: “when you pass through the WATERS, I will be with you; and through the RIVERS, they shall not overflow you…” (Isa.43:2a). The waters here refer to the floods: When the enemy comes in like a FLOOD, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him” (Isa.59:19b).

God didn’t say “if” we pass through the waters; but “when”! It is an indisputable truth that storms will always come, being part of our occupational hazard in this fallen world: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (Jh.16:33). But God promises to be with us through trials and tribulations. We can “be of good cheer” because He has “overcome the world” with all its tribulation! He promises: No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord (Isa.54:17).

The Hebrew word for “pass” in Isaiah 43:2 – abar – means to “carry over, deliver.” Our amazing Father promises not only to be with us when we pass through the waters, but also to carry us: The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms…” (Dt.33:27a). Our loving, protective Father will pick us up, bear us on His shoulders, and carry us across the storms of life. In His sovereignty, He sometimes decides to still the storms: “Then He (Jesus) arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm” (Lk.8:24b). Also, “Then He (Jesus) arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm” (Mk.4:39). Jehovah HaPalat – God our Deliverer – most surely will deliver us from evil (Mt.6:13).

Whatever we are going or passing through, God is going through with us. There isn’t any place we go or anything we go through where God is not with us. David spoke of His abiding Presence everywhere and at all times (Psa.139:7-12). God Himself will raise us up, so that the floods will not overflow, inundate, conquer, overwhelm or drown us. God will not allow the floods of life or the onslaughts of the evil one to overtake, overcome or consume us. The Psalmist once marvelled: “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,” Let Israel now say – “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, When men rose up against us, Then they would have swallowed us alive, when their wrath was kindled against us” (Psa.124:1-3).

Beloved, it does not matter the intensity or ferocity of the floods or rivers you’re passing through right now, if you put your faith in your Father, you shall not be overtaken or drowned in the floods of life. You need not be afraid of “the sorrows of death,” “floods of ungodly men” or “floods of great waters”, (Psa.18:4; 32:6). He who “binds the floods from overflowing” will not allow you to sink or go under (Job 28:11a). You will walk atop the crest of the waves.

Please declare with me: “Father-God, I thank and praise You for being with me and not allowing the enemy’s floods to conquer, overwhelm or drown me. My voice shall be lifted above the voice of the waters. As I declare Your Praise, even the floods and rivers shall clap their hands, and the hills shall be joyful together” (Psa.98:8).

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
