Romans 1: 1-16

“And declared to be the Son of God with POWER, according to the SPIRIT of Holiness, by the resurrection from the dead” – Romans 1:4

God declared His POWER for PERFORMANCE and Christ’s Sonship through His Resurrection: And declared to be the Son of God with POWER, according to the SPIRIT of Holiness, by the resurrection from the dead” (Rom.1:4). This is a reminder that as believers, we're not left to our own devices to accomplish God's purposes. He Himself is our enabling strength. This letter opens with a powerful declaration of Paul’s calling and the gospel's impact. Identifying himself as "a bondservant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God” (v.1), isn't just a job description; it’s a statement of divine appointment and enablement.

Paul knew that his immense task – to preach the gospel to the Gentiles – required a power far beyond his human abilities. The Resurrection Power is the Gospel’s Enabling Strength! His performance as an apostle began with a divine call and separation (vv.1-2). What he preached wasn't his invention; it was “the gospel of God.” This divine origin ensures its power. By inference, our areas of performance for God are often rooted in His initiation, not ours. He calls us, then equips us. Paul then shifted focus to the subject of the gospel: Jesus Christ (vv.3-4). Verse 4 highlights His resurrection as the ultimate demonstration of God's Power. It was through the "Spirit of holiness" and the resurrection that Jesus was "declared... in power." The Power inherent in His Sonship was secured through His triumph over death.

This same Resurrection Power is what God works in us for performance. If He could raise Christ from the dead, He can certainly empower us for any task! Paul received "grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name” (v.5). His ability to perform his apostolic duties was a direct result of God's Grace – Divine Enablement for service. His eagerness to preach in Rome stems from his profound conviction: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation…” (v.16).  The gospel is not merely a message; it is the transformative Power of God that brings salvation. It’s the same inherent power that equips and energizes believers for every aspect of performance in life and ministry. It's a power that responds to His Grace and operates by Faith.

God isn't just watching our performance; He's the very source of it! Together, let us affirm in Jesus’ name:

I walk in the resurrection power of Christ for every good work! God's Grace is my strength, propelling me beyond natural limitations.

The Spirit of holiness within me activates supernatural ability for every assignment. I am not ashamed of the Gospel; it is the Power of God manifest in my performance.

Every step I take is infused with Divine Power, leading to obedience that glorifies God. He Who raises Jesus from the dead has equipped me with everything good for doing His Will.

My performance flows from Christ’s indwelling power. I am a vessel of divine power, performing my God-given tasks with excellence, passion, and supernatural accomplishments.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
