MAKE WAY FOR CHANGE

Bible Meditation:
Isaiah 40:1-8

The voice of him crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God” – Isaiah 40:3

Change is inevitable; but often tough to achieve. Resistance to positive change is the world’s norm. Action breeds reaction. Revolution triggers resistance. In ancient times, conquering kings gained access to newly acquired territories through highways built for their troops. Isaiah had this in mind when he declared, “Make straight in the desert a highway for our God” (Isa.40:3). Much later, John the Baptist called people to repentance; asking that they “prepare the way” into their hearts for the arrival of the Messiah and King (Mt.3:3). God wants to navigate His Way through the hearts and lives of His people, without restriction or resistance.

Beloved, it is time to ponder: What preparation needs to be done to allow Jesus unhindered move in your heart? Are there mountains of darkness, doubt and unbelief that must be levelled for faith to flow? Are there valleys of anxiety, worry, and complaining that need to be filled with contentment? Are there crooked paths of deception, delusion and deceit that must be straightened for righteousness to reign? Are there rough places of bitterness that require the bulldozer of forgiveness? You must give room for God’s supernatural re-engineering and spiritual reconstruction in your heart and mind.

The LORD says: “Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isa.43:19). The song-writer also proclaimed: “God will make a way where there seems to be no way; He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for me!” Beloved, it is high time for God’s Glory to manifest in our individual lives and in His Body – the Church. Let us prepare the way for the King!

Prayer:
Lord, I submit to Your Will; help me to level every mountain, fill every valley, straighten every crooked course, and smoothen every rough road, that Your Glory may be revealed in and through me, in Jesus’ Name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
