LET THERE BE LIGHT

Then God said, “Let there be LIGHT”; and there was LIGHT – Gen.1:3

LIGHT was the “genesis” of Genesis! LIGHT was the Creator’s first and priority pronouncement. LIGHT made a whole world of difference to the formlessness, emptiness, and darkness that pervaded the then earth (Gen.1:2). In every encounter with Light, darkness always takes a bow. Darkness has no option but to bow to Light. The Almighty did not flinch or fidget before the darkness. He neither begged nor pleaded with the darkness. He invaded the darkness with its one and only Conqueror – LIGHT! John 1:5 declares: “And the LIGHT shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”

Here on earth, light never intrudes. It does not come uninvited. There are always forces of opposition against the emergence of light. That’s why fallen humanity is naturally steeped in darkness. Light must be commanded. There must be an “agency” of Release for Light to manifest. When the Supreme Commander of the Universe issues a command to darkness, it must surrender. He said, ‘Let the darkness go’ and it was so! The moment the Commander declares the dominion of darkness to be over in your life, from that instant His light will shine on you. Everywhere the Lord Jesus met people who were tired of darkness, He only had to release the Word, and light took over.

Beloved, have you been experiencing darkness in any area of your life, but you are fed up with it? The Author of Light is saying to darkness, ‘Let my people go’ (Exo.5:1). Every spirit of darkness will give way for the glorious Light of the Messiah Jesus to shine on you. It doesn’t matter how many demonic adversaries and agents of darkness are arrayed against you; when the Commander of Heaven’s Host gives the order, all evil bows; all darkness disappears! The dark dungeons give way and imprisoned destinies find release.

The will of God is that YOU win by LIGHT in the battles of Life! You were never meant to bow before the darkness; but to release the Word of Light and see the darkness dispelled before your very eyes. The Word of Light must never be absent in your heart or far from your lips. This is your Era of Liberty. This is your Season of Shining Splendour. Arise in this New Month and go forth with the Word of Light!
