Psalm 32: 1-12

“I WILL INSTRUCT YOU and teach you in THE WAY you should go; I will guide you with My eye” Psalm 32:8

As many as desire and seek will be INSTRUCTED IN GOD’S WAY: I WILL INSTRUCT YOU and teach you in THE WAY you should go; I will guide you with My eye” (Psa.32:8). Psalm 32 addresses the themes of confession and forgiveness of sin, yet what stands out above all is God’s promise in verse eight: to instruct and teach us in the way we should go, counsel us and keep an eye on us; to guide as many as need direction in life This is God's provision for those who are willing to receive Him by faith and follow His leading. If we are willing to be taught by Him, learn from Him, and follow Him, God is willing and able to instruct, teach, and guide us in the Way we should go.

In this Psalm, the Lord reminds us that He – not the world, not other people – will instruct and teach us in the way we should go. God alone knows the end from the beginning. He alone knows the best path forward for each of us. Listening to the advice of other persons is wise only insofar as they listen to God. He alone is the Source of true information and guidance. Not only does God know what is best for us, and the whole world, He always has the “Big Picture” in mind and the end in view – our eternal destination – as well as our best interest at heart. But God will not force the desire for divine knowledge on us. We must want revelation, crave it, and pursue after it with our whole being.

We have all come to junctions in life where we don’t know the way we should go. The Lord desires to teach His children in THE WAY in which He would have us to go: His way of submission and obedience to His Word. As believers, we must seek and obey with humility, live in holiness, daily walk in integrity, be honest in our dealings with one another, and be faithful to God and the task that He has assigned to our hands. God did not save us to live life as we please, but as He wills. There is a Way to live to please God; to walk to His delight; a standard of living that God has established for us to live by in His Word.

This is one offer we should not refuse yet we often gravitate towards human wisdom rather than God’s. Of course there is a place for human wisdom in many practical matters but we must consider instruction from the Creator Himself concerning the Way we should live. Under the New Covenant we see this promise restated by our Lord Jesus Christ in relation to the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives: But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things…” (Jh.14:26a); “When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth (Jh.16:13a).

Direction is crucial, for without it one may get lost. Many are wandering in life’s wilderness because they refused divine Instruction. They refused to be counselled by God or be guided by His eyes. Instead, they chose to be instructed and guided by the enticing, but destructive ways of the world; what their eyes see and lust after in the world. Man can counsel, but it is only God through His Holy Spirit who can make us understand truth and lead us in the right way. As God continues to teach and instruct us in the way of salvation, He promises to keep a watchful eye on us. He will not leave us to ourselves for He knows without His direction and watchful eyes upon us, like sheep, we will stray away from the path of righteousness.

The Lord promises to do His part – Instruct us in His Way – so long as we commit to do ours: seek, trust, and obey.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
