Mark 4: 1-25

Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow – Mark 4:3

We have meditated on the diverse ‘colors’ of Divine Light, such as: Vision, Dreams, Knowledge, Wisdom, Understanding, Revelation, Secrets, Direction, Instruction, and Learning; plus its enhancers – Information, Education, Experience, and Mentoring. From God’s perspective, these come like beams of light; but from our limited human perspective, we often receive them in the form of seemingly simple IDEAS. Stephen Magnus defines an idea as “an introduction to creativity that gives birth to reality.” Every idea has a source, purpose, and agenda behind it. It could originate from another human being, from Satan or from God (Lk.22:3-4; Isa.42:9). Ideas are like rays of light that penetrate the human heart and mind. They are like seeds planted in the hearts, intended to germinate for God’s Glory and human benefits or for satanic agenda (Mk.4). God sows seeds of creative, constructive ideas; while Satan and his cohorts sow seeds of evil and destructive ideas.

A divine Idea can manifest as a concept, mental picture or plan within the sphere of thought, leading to a specific objective or action that is perceived as desirable, workable, and favourable. When we develop, direct and discipline our spiritual and mental capabilities, by focusing our faith in God and His promises, we set the stage for the conceptualization of the right ideas. Like the good ground in the Parable of the Sower, our hearts and minds should be guarded diligently given the critical role they play in the creation and conveyance of ideas: “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life” (Pro. 4:23). A good idea, though privately conceived by an individual, if well developed and properly executed, produces impact beyond the person. Great ideas turn opportunities into possibilities. An Inspired Idea is a seed of destiny.

deas are powerful. Everything on earth is a product of ideas. Well-grounded ideas hardly ever die. Myles Munroe said: “Ideas are more powerful than death, because death cannot kill an idea. Ideas outlive men….You can kill a man but you can’t destroy his ideas.” Simon Adams said, “Weapons and technology may help win wars, but it is only ideas that have the power to truly change the world.” Paxton W.M. said: “Ideas go booming through the world louder than cannon. Thoughts are mightier than armies. Principles have achieved more victories than horsemen or chariots.” Rather than trivialize ideas, we must learn to receive divine ideas and execute them in God’s time. Idea-seeds often have timelines, and can soon become obsolete and irrelevant or transferred to another (Eccl.3:1,11; Hab.2:3). Praise God, when we are connected to Divinity, we can have an unceasing flow of new, exciting and powerful Ideas on which we should act promptly to produce unique results.

There are Idea-seeds around us everyday! What we need is to develop the Miner’s mentality and Hunter’s approach – the outlook that wherever we go, there are Ideas waiting to be discovered. Ralph Waldo Emerson said: “God hides things by putting them near us.” Psalm 33:5b confirms that: “...The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.” Destiny is a collectivity of ideas correctly executed. The world is an arena of ideas. God’s Kingdom in particular is a Kingdom of Ideas. Our spirits are born to thrive on ideas. Everything we see, feel, experience or interact with in life was birthed in the womb or created in the invaluable cradle of an idea or ideas. Without ideas, life on earth would have been extremely intolerable. To be without an idea is to be truly bankrupt. Like seeds, ideas are self-multiplying. When an idea takes hold, nothing can stop it.

IDEAS are Light carriers. Learn to create a fertile ground for receiving valuable ideas through right thoughts, talk, and walk. Carry a notebook, a phone or any other medium with which to capture God-given ideas. Keep an idea data bank for eventual development and execution. Always cherish, value, and actualize the power and purpose of a God-given idea.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
