GOD WILL MAKE YOU A WONDER

Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I WILL MAKE YOU fishers of men – Matthew 4:19

God is a MAKER, never a Waster of lives! Indeed, He can make something out of nothing. He is the Creator and Maker of Masterpieces: “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Eph.2:10). He found Jacob, the trickster, and made a Prince out of him. He found David the ruddy shepherd-boy, and turned him into the epitome of Royalty. He found Esther the migrant-girl and make a Queen out of her low estate. He found Peter the fisherman and made him into an eternally-impactful Fisher of men – the Apostle of apostles!

All through the scriptures, God’s recurring promise is to make every individual that responds to Him into someone worthy, wonderful, and tangible. God’s will is to make you what you could never have otherwise become on your own. God wants to change you and turn you into an Agent of Change for His Glory. He wants to make you into a Wonder to your world. David said: “I have become as a wonder to many; but You are my strong refuge” (Psa.71:7). None who heard God’s call and positively responded to Him ever ended less than they would have been, left to themselves.

God wants to make something marvellous out of your life. His firm commitment is to make you into something and someone beyond yourself! He says in Isaiah 41:15, “Behold, I WILL MAKE YOU into a new sharp threshing sledge with sharp teeth; you shall thresh the mountains and beat them small, and make the hills like chaff.” God turns a life that is like a worthless worm into a powerful weapon in His hands. He will make you way beyond your human capacity. You will become useful and tangible in His hands. What God will make of you will baffle all on-lookers! You will become a Miracle to your generation.

When God says, “I will make you,” that infers that all it takes, all it will cost and all that is needed to make you are already at hand. The Lord is ready to release and roll-out whatever resources are required for your triumphant transformation. He need not struggle or be stressed to make you. Something marvellous will come out of your life. You will live to please God. You will live for His Glory. As long as you follow JESUS, He has promised to MAKE YOU: “Follow Me, and I will make you…”!
