Bible Meditation:
Psalm 136:1-26

But God, who is RICH IN MERCY, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ, (by grace you have been saved) – Ephesians 2: 4-5

Out of His inexhaustible riches, there are three currencies of heaven that God makes available for us on earth: His MERCY, GRACE and GLORY (Eph.1:18, 2:4, 7). Today, we’ll meditate on the RICHES of His MERCY. God is extremely rich in Mercy. The earth is full of His mercy. Yet, in the midst of the world’s raging tides and trying times, many fail to recognize God’s mercy; they take His mercy for granted!

What really is Mercy? Mercy is the visible, tangible, active and dynamic expression or demonstration of divine Love. It is the outworking of God’s divine love. Mercy is God’s kindness or benevolence stretched towards mankind to meet our needs. God is Love (1Jh.4:7). Then, He expresses Himself as “the Father of mercies”. Mercy is an infinite, inexhaustible attribute and capability within the divine nature, which disposes God to be actively compassionate.

God is the Father of Mercies: Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort” (2Cor.1:3). He is “…abundant in mercy to all those who call upon” Him (Psa.86:5b). He is “full of compassion and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth” (Psa.86: 15). God said to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion. So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy” (Rom.9:15-16). May God show you mercy always!

Mercy is not a temporary mood with God, but His perpetual disposition and lifestyle. That’s why you can declare: Surely goodness and MERCY shall follow me all the days of my life…” (Psa.23:6). However, God not only ensures that Mercy follows you, He wants to enrich you with Mercy to such a degree that you’ll become His VESSEL of MERCY rather than of wrath: And that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of MERCY, which He had afore prepared unto glory” (Rom.9:23). Only His vessels of Mercy can be prepared to function as the bearers, carriers, and vehicles of His Glory!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
