Bible Meditation:
Exodus 14: 1-31

The LORD shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace – Exodus 14:14

In life, no two battles are ever the same; and no two battles are ever fought alike. David always inquired from the LORD how to face each battle (1Sam.23:2-4). He had learnt to WAIT on God for specific instructions (1Sam.17:47). We have meditated on how God teaches our fingers and strengthens our hands for war (Psa.144:1). There are times however, when God simply commands us to take a faith-action that would trigger Him to arise and fight for us. Yet, we’re so often either inattentive or impatient. Much of our trouble in life is either the result of restless, and sometimes reckless, haste or due to lethal lethargy – being “at ease in Zion” (Amos 6:1). There is a time to “Move forward’ and a time to “stand still” or “hold your peace”!

When the Israelites were entangled by Pharaoh’s pursuing army at the Red Sea, God commanded them to “go forward” (Ex. 14:15). It was no longer their duty to wait, but to rise up from bended knees and “march forward” in forceful faith. Then, God arose to fight for them, defeating and destroy the pursuing enemies. Years later they were commanded to demonstrate their faith again by marching over the Jordan while the river was at its highest point. In their hands was the key of Faith to unlock the gate into the Land of Promise. The gate wouldn’t begin to turn on its hinges until they had approached and unlocked it.

We are destined to fight certain battles, being assured of conquest over the enemies. The secret of victory is that as we enter the conflict, ONE comes who fights by our side. Through Him we are “more than conquerors” (Rom. 8:37). When God says “Go forward,” then with bold confidence we can begin to conquer and possess. But when He says “I will fight for you”, we should simply inquire what our part is, and obey. At such times, your safety lies in letting “the Man of War” fight for you (Exo.15:3). Think of how difficult it is to rescue a drowning person who tries to help his rescuer. It is equally difficult for the Lord to fight our battles for us when we insist upon trying to fight them ourselves; because, then our interference hinders His work. This is our ultimate assurance: however fierce the hellish fiends may fight, the Victory of the Cross is guaranteed!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
