1 Thessalonians 5: 1-24

He who calls you is FAITHFUL, who also WILL DO IT – 1 Thessalonians 5:24

GOD IS FAITHFUL and ABLE: “He who calls you is FAITHFUL, who also WILL DO IT(1The.5:24). God is both faithful and able. These are the foundations of Him being our Ultimate Promise-Keeper. He is faithful and able to do whatever He has promised. He can never let down whoever trusts in Him. Only our Faithful and Able God guarantees Unfailing promises. All of His promises stand upon His faithfulness and power to fulfil them. In contrast, human promises are often unreliable and undependable. People seldom follow through on their promises. But God’s promises provide an anchor for the soul in all seasons, especially in times of trials. They enable us to be bold, confident, and courageous to face the end-time challenges.

GOD is FAITHFUL: God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord (1Cor.1:9). His faithfulness undergirds our calling into divine communion and fellowship. God is absolutely constant, totally dependable, reliable, unchanging, and trustworthy: But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one (2The.3:3). His faithfulness insures our establishment and Divine Defence against the evil one. Scriptures are full of indisputable proofs of His faithfulness: “Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds” (Psa.36:5); “Your faithfulness endures to all generations; You established the earth, and it abides” (Psa.119:90). Through trying times and seasons, His faithfulness transcends generations, reaching beyond and breaking through natural realms.

God’s faithfulness stands even in face of our faithlessness: If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself (2Tim.2:13). If He were a liar, which He is not, then our faith would be founded on a flimsy, faulty foundation. However, God is the eternal Truth. The Lord Jesus Himself declared this vital fact: “…I AM the way, the TRUTH, and the life…” (Jh.14:6). Of course, those who reject God will be rejected by Him, but those who struggle with doubt and unbelief or are “faithless,” are still held and helped by God. He remains faithful, even when His people are not. This theme is consistent with God's faithfulness to His people Israel in the Old Testament. Though they often were faithless or unfaithful, He continued to keep His promises to them. God didn’t remain with Israel because they deserved it, but because His faithfulness never fails!

GOD is ABLE: Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Eph.3:20). He is able to do more than you ask or imagine. He has enough power to keep and fulfil all of His promises. Abraham was fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform (Rom.4:21). And the father of faith was not disappointed! Whenever you feel doubtful or discouraged, simply declare: “My GOD IS ABLE”!

God is able to deliver you: For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is ABLE to aid those who are tempted” (Heb. 2:18).

God is able to establish you: “Now to HIM WHO IS ABLE to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began” (Rom. 16:25).

God is able to keep what you have committed to Him: “…nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that HE IS ABLE to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day” (2 Tim. 1:12).

God is able to save you to the end: “Therefore HE IS also ABLE to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them” (Heb. 7:25).

God is able to keep you from falling: Now to HIM WHO IS ABLE to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, Who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen” (Jude 24-25).

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
