GOD’S POWER IN PRESERVATION

Bible Meditation:
Psalm 104: 1-30

The LORD shall PRESERVE thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore – Psalm 121:8

God’s might and power manifest not only in the acts of CREATION but also in the acts of PRESERVATION. All through the Scriptures, God is presented not only as the Creator of the world but also as its Sustainer and Preserver. No creature has power to preserve or sustain itself. Human beings and animals would perish if there were no food, and there would be no food if God does not refresh the earth with fruitful showers. Psalm 104: 27 says “All creatures look to You to give them food at the proper time.” A wise preacher said: “We came from God’s hand and we remain in His hand.”

God did not wind up the universe like a clock and then separate Himself from it. He is active in sustaining creation. Were He to remove Himself from it, all of creation will cease to exist. The Almighty God “upholds all things by the word of His Power” (Heb.1:3). Think also for a moment of the marvel of life in the womb. How an infant lives for many months in such a cramped environment could only be accounted for by the Power of God in Preservation. Beloved, He who preserved you in the WOMB is more than able to preserve you in the WORLD!

The child of God is never outside the watchful care of the heavenly Father. When you feel surrounded by forces that appear to be too much for you, you do not need to fear because God is your Refuge and Strength (Psa. 46:1). You do not see God. At times you may not even feel His Presence, but in the daily uncertainties of life, amid the dangers around you, in your most pressing hour, the Omnipotent God is standing by to help. He will see you safely to the shore.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
