1 Corinthians 10: 23-31

“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, DO ALL to the GLORY of GOD” – 1 Corinthians 10:31

Scriptures provide principles and Instructions on GLORIFYING the GOD of IMPACT: “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, DO ALL to the GLORY of GOD” (1 Cor.10:31). All actions, even mundane ones like eating and drinking, should be done with the intention of glorifying God, not just seeking personal pleasure or freedom. While Believers have liberty in Christ, this should be exercised with consideration for others, ensuring that our actions don't cause weaker believers to stumble or lead others away from faith. Therefore, glorifying God is about a lifestyle of intentionality where every choice reflects His goodness and honours Him above all else in everything we do, from our daily actions to our attitude and relationships.

Glorify God through our Life and Actions: We must practice and treat others with kindness and compassion, forgiving them as Christ forgave us. Such behavior and conduct among non-believers can lead them to glorify God: And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you” (Eph. 4:32). Also, a life of contentment glorifies God: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Mt.6:33). Being content with our states acknowledges that God’s in control: “Now godliness with contentment is great gain” (Gal.6:6).

Glorifying God through Praise and Worship: Involves voicing reverence and gratitude through heartfelt songs and words, as found for example, in Psalm 66:1-2, “Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth! Sing out the honor of His name; make His praise glorious.” This must be done with sincerity, in spirit and truth (Jh.4:24). There is a prime place for singing joyfully to God in praise: “I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name forevermore” (Psa.86:12). We also glorify God through thanksgiving: “I will praise the name of God with a song, and I will magnify Him with thanksgiving” (Psa.69:30). Thanksgiving acknowledges His blessings, recognizing Him as the Source and Supplier of all good things.

Glorifying God in Body and Spirit: “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1Cor.6:19-20). We are to live a life of sacrifice: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service” (Rom.12:1).

Beloved, let’s make the choice to glorify the God of Impact in our actions, praise, worship, in body and spirit, and in all things.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
