Bible Meditation:
John 15: 1-11

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears MUCH FRUIT; for without Me you can do nothing John 15:5

Another vital product of the Fullness of God is the FULLNESS OF FRUITS! God desires that His children be Full of Fruits – FRUITFUL. Fruitfulness is a divine Command. Our longing for fruitfulness derives from God’s command at creation: “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “BE FRUITFUL and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it…” (Gen. 1:28a). Hence, one of the deepest desires of every person is to be fruitful: to be productive with what God has given you. Fruit infers the existence of Seed. Fruitfulness is the potential destiny of every seed. A seed that does not result in fruit is a wasted potential. Every Fruit starts as a Seed. The Seed-Fruit order is an established principle in creation (Gen.1:11). The nature of the seed determines that of the fruit. Seeds are in the fruit and more fruits come from the seed!

Fruitfulness has both divine and human dimensions: God commands, “Be fruitful and multiply…” (Gen.1:28). He also says, “I will make him fruitful and multiply him…” (Gen.17:20). God’s Word of blessing empowers us to obey His Mandate to be fruitful! In a sense, Fruitfulness is the product of divine Blessing. Whatever God blesses is empowered to be fruitful: “Then God BLESSED them….BE FRUITFUL…” (Gen.1:28). The true essence of all creation is to be fruitful. God blesses the earth to yield bountifully: “He waters the hills from His chambers; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of Your works” (Psa.104:13). When curses are in operation, fruitfulness ceases, and barrenness appears.

Divine Connection is the Master Key to Fruitfulness: I am the Vine, you are the branches: He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears MUCH FRUIT; for without Me you can do nothing (Jh.15:5). The vine-and-branches metaphor aptly describes our relationship with Christ. A branch grows through its connection with the vine. We as believers grow based on our relationship with Christ. The branch is useless apart from the vine; we can do nothing apart from Christ. The branch draws strength from the vine; we are strengthened by tapping from Him who is our Strength! We are fruit-bearing branches abiding in the Vine! Christ is the Vine; the Father is the vinedresser. He is interested in us having Fullness of Fruits: not merely thirty or sixty-fold, but hundred-fold (Mk.4:20). He therefore prunes the fruit-bearing branches to make them bear more fruit. He removes and burns the fruitless branches. Through consistent pruning, fruitfulness is increased. The branches that abide in the Vine are blessed; they grow and bear fruit, as the Father lovingly nurtures them. To remain fruitful – FULL of FRUITS – you must be ensure committed connection to Christ!

Not only does fullness of fruits flow from fellowship with Christ, it is also vitally determined by your root: “And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take ROOT downward, and bear FRUIT upward” (Isa. 37:31). No root; no fruits! Jesus spoke of the seeds that fell on stony places (Mk.4:5,16). While trying to germinate, the seeds could not find much soil due to lack of depth, and so could neither take root downwards nor bear fruit upwards. When the sun rose, they withered instantly (Mk. 4:5-6, 16-17). The reason for lack of fruit in many lives is a lack of root. Many are not fruitful because they are not rooted or are poorly rooted. Some converts drift off from the Christian race and veer from the faith for lack of depth; they were not prepared to go the whole hog. When fierce winds drive and severe storms blow, only the deep-rooted trees would survive.

To what degree are you rooted in Christ? What is your depth in Him? Are you a rooted or a rootless believer? Roots are hidden; your fruit or lack thereof is the best indicator of your root (Lk.6:44a). By all means, stay connected in Christ. When you are constantly connected to Him, He’ll also ensure your correct connection to destiny-helpers and enhancers of your fruitfulness.

Lord, keep me connected to the Vine, rooted in You; and cause Your Seeds to yield FULLNESS of FRUITS in me, in Jesus name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
